Tire Bead Seater
The Tire Bead Seater is used when a tire, new or used, is mounted on a wheel and the tire bead does not touch both sides of the wheel, making inflation possible. The air trigger on this tool expels a tremendous burst of air that inflates the tire to seat it to the wheel rim. Domestic precision seeders STV-8, STV-8KU are widely used in agricultural organizations , as well as imported models - Monosem NG Plus, Kverneland Optima, Feraboks Futura Maxi, Gaspardo SP Dorada, etc. with their subsequent equal-interval dumping into the groove opened by the coulter . Due to the low location of the apparatus (there is no seed tube), after the fall, the grain mainly retains its position at the point of impact with the soil. The piece seeding rate is set by selecting a seeding disc with the required number of holes of a certain diameter (depending on the size of the grain) and the corresponding gear ratio from the support-drive wheel to the seeding disc. The vacuum is created by a fan driven by the PTO by sucking air from the sowing unit through the air duct. nine0003
As a rule, dotted planters are universal and, in addition to corn, can be adjusted to sow seeds of beets, peas, sunflowers, soybeans, rapeseed, onions and other crops with a minimum seed size of 2.5 mm.

1. A fundamentally important structural element of the precision seed drill is the seeding center, which consists of a narrow seeding drum (1), which, without wear, rotates with the seeding disc (2). The fan creates a vacuum through the hollow shaft (3), which ensures the suction of the seeds (4) to the sowing disc. Two ejectors of different design (5, 7) correct possible double sticking. The toothed ejector is set steplessly on the scale (6) depending on the seed size. Through a sufficiently large viewing window, you can control the filling of the disc holes. The separated seeds are cut off in a precisely defined place by a breaker (8) located behind the disc. It is important to pay attention to the technical condition of the sowing units, the ease of rotation of all drive mechanisms, the pressure in the supporting wheels, the integrity of the air ducts and the fan drive belt, the tightness of the entire vacuum system. To maintain longitudinal stability, the aggregating tractor must be equipped with balancing weights, and the hydraulic hitch system must be capable of fast lifting and slow lowering. nine0003
When connecting the seed drill to the tractor, pay special attention to its position. The frame of the three-point hitch (connection triangle) must be oriented vertically. The hitch should not be rigid, but provide a floating position. It is the floating position that helps to maintain the accuracy of seed distribution and stabilizes their placement in depth.
The inclination of the plane of the connecting triangle forward leads to an increase in the load on the drive wheels, backward - to a decrease. Both in the first and in the second case, especially when the field is not sufficiently leveled, this leads to an impulse change in the speed of rotation of the wheels, and, accordingly, the sowing discs, which contributes to the appearance of "twins" or micro-siftings. nine0003
Particular attention should be paid to checking the tightness of the vacuum system .
The supplied vacuum gauge monitors the vacuum level in the fan manifold. This does not mean at all that such a vacuum will be in each vacuum chamber of the devices, because there may be cracks in the air ducts, air leaks in the devices themselves. Therefore, before starting work, each device should be tested for the ability to stably maintain the vacuum recommended by the instruction manual .
Recently, the French company Monosem proposes to use the technology approach Twin-Row Sins Row, which consists in dotted-staggered two-row sowing with a precision seed drill (Fig. 4).

The crop is sown in two lines at a distance of 20 cm instead of one with a row spacing of 75, 76.2, 80 cm. seeds into furrows. Sowing of corn in a two-line wide-row method is not a novelty. This option has been used by individual farmers in Germany for more than 25 years. The thing is that the predicted exact placement of seeds in one line does not guarantee an equal interval distance between seedlings . And the reason for this is the shortcomings that appear in the work of dotted seeders:
The total total losses in the area of plant nutrition due to microsifting and "twins" in single-line sowing are close to 18% .
The final plant density in relation to the norm of sown seeds can decrease from 20 to 40% due to low field germination (poor quality seeds, sowing in unheated soil), death during harrowing and inter-row cultivation, damage by birds and wireworms. Therefore, , the conclusion suggests itself about the possibility of using for sowing corn, primarily for silage, sowing units of volumetric seeding (for grain crops), converted to two-line wide-row sowing . This is also important in conditions of insufficient number of dotted planters.
There are schemes for re-equipment of seeding units Mega seed T6002 K2 by Rabe, Horsch Pronto DC, MSC Kverneland for sowing corn for silage in a two-line method.
With a coulter spacing of 125 mm, it is possible to apply a wide-row two-line sowing pattern with parameters of 12.5 cm + 62.5 cm by closing the corresponding seed tubes. At the same time, the row spacing, determined between the middle of the double lines, remains 75 cm .
For the selected sowing scheme, the following coulters should be left as working bodies (counting from left to right in the direction of travel): 3 and 4; 9 and 10; 15 and 16; 21 and 22; 27 and 28; 33 and 34; 39 and 40; 45 and 46. At the same time, 2 coulters remain as idle on both edges. Observing the butt row spacing of 75 cm, there is no need to re-tie the tractor to the track of the marker and to adjust the outreach of the marker itself, if it was installed for driving the tractor by the middle point of the hood. When sowing cereals with a butt spacing of 125 mm (each pair of working coulters is spaced from each other through 4 idle coulters). Rabe's standard recommendation for Mega seed T6002 K2 for large seeds (corn, peas) is to use a one-piece grooved coil of coarse index 9001-24.30. However, for large seeds, you can also use the regular grooved coil for coarse seed dosage.
Since corn is a well-flowing seed, the agitators are removed from the agitator shafts. So that the seeds are not damaged during the rotation of the coils, the lower valves of the sowing units are lowered by moving the control levers to position 4 on the sectors.

It is recommended to cover the seed ducts with arcuate mesh plates. The mesh of the plates is due to the need to bleed air through the idle seed ducts. The diameter of the mesh holes is 2.5-3.0 mm.
The remaining open pairs of tubes must be connected to the corresponding pairs of coulters. Since the left distributing head is somewhat forward in relation to the right one, the individual seed tubes selected as working ones must be swapped so that the open channels in the head and the working coulters are connected for unimpeded seed transport. In the right head, only one seed tube is reinstalled (Fig. 7). nine0003

In MSC Kverneland sowing units, it is recommended to close the seed pipes with a special distribution head cover produced by the manufacturer (Fig. 8).
