The nut is a threaded fastener.

General features
Housing seals DRS housing seals are screwed to the outer ring of ZARF(L) combined bearings where they are precisely centered. They seal the bearings from the outside.
The seal components are supplied as an assembly and consist of a flanged housing with an integrated radial shaft seal, a housing seal and socket head cap screws to secure the housing to the bearing center ring.

operating temperatures from -30°C to +120°C, limited by the thermal properties of the
seal material.
Precision slotted nuts.
Precision slotted nuts are used when high axial forces are to be transmitted and when high mechanical runout accuracy and rigidity are required.
The thread and face of the precision nut against the bearing are machined in one workpiece setup.
This achieves very high axial runout accuracy.
Spline nuts are available in AM, ZM and ZMA designs.
With expert assembly and dismantling, they can be used repeatedly.
Axial fixation with segments.
Type AM slotted nuts are segmented to create a locking force. The segments are elastically deformed as a result of tightening the grub screws with an internal hexagon. Thus, the surfaces of the threads of the segments are pressed against the threads of the shaft, which creates a high friction force that prevents the nut from loosening. This method of locking does not affect the end runout of the nut.
Spline Nut Breakaway Torque
The ML spline nut breakaway torques given in the dimension tables apply to MAL tightened to the recommended torque, resting against the shaft shoulders and secured against unintentional loosening of the spline nuts.
Axial breaking load
Axial breaking load FaB is valid for a screw thread with a tolerance of 6g or better, with a minimum strength of 700 N/mm2.
Allows dynamic load up to 75% of axial breaking load FaB.
Mounting and dismounting
When mounting and dismounting bearings and precision slotted nuts, the instructions in the mounting and maintenance manual INA TPI 100 must be observed.
