Safety Seal tire repair is a superior repair method for repairing punctures in tubeless tyres. With Safety Seal it is easy to quickly and permanently repair a puncture. A repair plug is inserted through the puncture hole, then the Safety Seal tyre repair plug vulcanises together with the tyre so that the repair becomes completely air-tight and permanent.
All Safety Seal tire repair kits contain the highest quality materials and tools, made in Europe and the USA. Tested by TÜV at speeds over 300 km/h (186 mph), using the same standards that new tyres are tested against.

One of the customers was talking about bearing seals. I thought that the seals do not affect the operation of the bearing so much and, in principle, it does not matter with which seal to put the bearings. But everything turned out to be not so simple.
Let's get started.
Seals bearing are a very important element of its design.
The main task of the seals is to protect the inside of the bearing from the ingress of foreign particles, as well as to protect the lubricant from the penetration of various kinds of impurities. The importance of seals cannot be overestimated. Indeed, the overall durability of the bearing itself depends on how long the tracks and rolling elements can maintain the original quality of their surface treatment. In addition, the grease used in bearings is also capable of drastically losing its qualities when water, other liquids, dust, and various fine particles get into it. And getting sand, dirt and other abrasive materials on the raceways can lead to failure of even a new bearing in the shortest possible time. Therefore, bearing manufacturers pay special attention to the quality of seals.
There are two main types of seals - non-contact and contact .
Most often, this seal is made in the form of metal washers that are installed in a groove machined on the outer ring of the bearing on its inner side.
The washers are made from sheet steel, stamped and have no contact with the bearing inner ring.
This type of seal has almost no effect on the maximum rotation speed. The protective properties are minimal. Therefore, a non-contact seal is usually used in a relatively safe environment where the bearing will be isolated from contact with abrasive impurities and contaminants.
2RS
This is one of the earliest versions of rubber-metal seals that prevent the ingress of earth, dust and water.
Rubber sponge fits snugly against the inner race of the bearing and provides good protection. However, due to the resulting friction, the permissible speed is reduced. The 2RS seal is mainly used for single row deep groove ball bearings
2S
This is a modern rubber-to-metal seal with a labyrinth between a steel sheet element and a rubber sponge. This is an excellent sealing system: the created labyrinth reliably protects against earth, dust and coarse impurities. The rubber part provides a contact seal that prevents the penetration of small impurities, water, moisture and steam. The permissible speed is the same as 2RS, however, the protection against coarse particles and impurities is better. This type of seal is used for housing self-aligning bearings, as well as for radial single-row ball bearings.
2F
This seal is an upgrade of the 2S seal. FKL engineers have installed an additional metal sheet protection which creates a double labyrinth and greatly reduces the chance of impurities getting inside the bearing. The permissible number of revolutions does not differ from 2RS and 2S, however, the protection against coarse impurities becomes better. This type of seal is used for Y-group self-aligning bearings.
2T
This seal is also an upgrade of the 2S seal. But in this seal, the rubber sponge has undergone modernization. It has become a three-stage and now provides increased protection against fine impurities. However, this seal is characterized by increased friction, due to which the permissible speed should not exceed 500 rpm. All these nuances have determined the high demand for bearings with 2T seals in the agricultural machinery sector.
2TB
This type of seal was developed by FKL engineers specifically at the numerous requests of Russian farmers and equipment manufacturers. The 2TB seal is an upgraded version of the 2T seal. An additional metal protective cover has been integrated into the design of this seal, which prevents the contact of the three-stage sponge with coarse impurities and solids. And the sponge, in turn, provides reliable protection against the penetration of dirt, dust, sand and fine impurities into the bearing, which can prematurely disable the bearing.
This is the kind of information I received after the conversation. The above material is based on FKL training materials.
On the sidewall of each tire there is an incredible number of letters and numbers that are not always clear to the average car enthusiast. Today we will talk about the FR marking on the tire. What is it and is it worth buying models with such letters?
You can meet this designation only on tires of the Continental brand, which means that we have rubber with a side that protects the disk from damage. If we look closely at the tire itself, we will see an additional element in the bead area, similar to a seal or belt.
Another name for the thickening at the point of contact between the product and the metal is a bump, which protects against mechanical shocks in the profile. Able to withstand lateral damage on bad roads, hitting a sharp stone or hitting a curb separating the pedestrian sidewalk and the roadway.
All such tires are collected in our catalog under this link: tires with rim protection
The need to create tires with such functionality did not arise by chance. Experienced drivers know that during parking, when there is not enough space, rubbing against the curb occurs, as a result of which you can scratch and even damage the disc.
Beautiful and striking, alloy wheels are very fragile. In the case of dents, they are not always amenable to repair, during which they sometimes split. Therefore, drivers try to be extremely careful, especially at night.
Manufacturers, realizing the problem, decided to make a special bead reinforcement, thus protecting the rim from accidental damage.
This item is optional and does not apply to all tyres. Therefore, there are no uniform rules for their production.
This seal is most often used on low profile tires where the profile height is below 55% of the width. Wheels with such tires are most prone to damage.
For higher profile tyres, this problem is virtually non-existent, as the edge is placed on top of the metal to protect it.
There is a special reinforcement on models made in agreement with car manufacturers, in the case of the so-called tire homologation. And also on tires selected for original equipment. At the same time, on a similar model in the same size, which is supplied to the market for secondary equipment, a similar addition may not be available.
Used by premium or big-name brands, each of which indicates the presence of this element in its own way:
As the names suggest, the essence is identical - to protect against damage. We also know about the designation CPJ, which is used by Michelin for tires with the same functionality, produced for the North American market.
