How good are lexani tires

2022 Lexani tires review for 2022: Are Lexani Tires Good?

I felt excited when I was told to create a draft of our 2017 Lexani tires review. Not much is known about Lexani when it comes to making tires but the brand is known worldwide as a maker of high-quality luxury wheels and car accessories for a wide array of vehicle models.

All Lexani tires are designed in-house from the headquarters in Irwindale, California. The corporate principle of quality, attention to detail, and style is carried over to Lexani’s wide array of tire offerings. Whether you drive a high-performance sports sedan or coupe, SUV, minivan, pickup truck, or an affordable compact, it is safe to assume that there is a Lexani tire that is right for your vehicle.

What I really love about Lexani tires is the tread design. Again, it is important to point out that the tread design should NOT be the primary factor in choosing a brand new set of tires. But if you pride yourself in customizing the look of your ride, Lexani tires will make your car look more purposeful and aggressive, especially when paired with a fantastic set of aftermarket wheels. Considering the low price, Lexani tires will certainly give renowned brands such as Bridgestone and Continental a run for their money when it comes to design and performance.

It comes as no surprise that Lexani tires are manufactured by Nexen Tires of America in South Korea. If you get a chance to read our Nexen tires review, you will see that South Korea is not just about making great cars with a lengthy warranty. They are also pretty good at creating tires for both old and modern cars.

Why Choose Lexani Tires?

  • High-end quality at a budget price

Lexani tires may look expensive, but you will be surprised at the cost. I have a friend who owns a 2015 Audi RS5 fitted with 21-inch wheels. When it was time to replace the rubber, the lowest price that he could find was around $350 to $450 per tire. This was from a premium brand.

All in all, a new set of tires for his Audi would set him back around $1500 to $2000 including mounting and balancing. Luckily for him, he was able to get hold of Lexani high-performance tires which only cost $175 each. He was satisfied with the traction, handling, stability, and tread wear of his Lexani tires that he is planning to buy a new set for his SUV.

  • Good looks and performance

Don’t listen to what pundits will tell you regarding the tread design. It is important for a tire to have precious amounts of grip, but it has to look the part as well. Lexani tires are equipped with magnificent and good-looking tread designs that belie the low price. If you are fond of dressing up your ride, you should consider Lexani tires on your next purchase.

This is the perfect Lexani tire for subcompact or compact cars equipped with 13 to 15-inch wheels. The Lexani LXM-101 is an all-season tire specifically designed to deliver maximum comfort, fuel economy, and stable handling on both wet and dry pavements.

The Lexani LXM-101 is engineered with five continuous tread blocks and four longitudinal main grooves that function as shock absorbers to deliver a quiet, stable, and smooth ride while increasing traction and grip.

I had at my disposal a 2014 Ford Focus equipped with 15-inch wheels and Lexani LXM-101 tires.

The tires were smooth and quiet on both city and highway driving. The ride quality is also commendable. It comes as no surprise since these tires are designed to absorb shock as you drive. Dry traction was also excellent and the steering response was spot-on.

It seems I had nothing bad to say about the Lexani LXM-101 until the owner of the focus told me that these tires are a bit sensitive when it comes to tackling potholes and large craters. Since the tires are designed to reduce shock, they are engineered with softer sidewalls and are not strong enough to withstand hard impacts which can damage the wheels.

Of course, this all boils down to how you drive your car. You will have to drive carefully and avoid large potholes as much as possible, whether you are using Lexani tires or not. Despite this shortcoming, I was still impressed with the on-road performance of the Lexani LXM-101 especially when you consider the pocket-friendly price.

If the LXM-101 is designed mainly for economical all-season driving, the Lexani LXHP-102 is a sportier alternative that delivers excellent traction and handling on both wet and dry conditions.

This tire is engineered with unique shoulder blocks to give you sporty handling and control whether you’re driving on city streets or on the highway.

The Lexani LXHP-102 is manufactured using an advanced tread compound to minimize tread wear without sacrificing traction and comfort.

My test car for this tire is a 2016 Hyundai Elantra fitted with 16-inch wheels. I am familiar with this car and have driven it many times before.

My initial impression of the Lexani LXHP-102 is the silence and ride comfort at low speeds. There was a slight increase in tire roar at higher speeds which, thankfully, was not enough to upset the overall driving experience.

Wet and dry traction was excellent and the braking performance was worthy of praise. I asked the owner of the Elantra about the tread wear and he told me that since he got the tires installed about 2 months ago, he never noticed anything irregular about the tread wear.

The Lexani LXUHP-107 is an economical choice for high-performance sports coupes and sedans.

The treads on this tire features a circumferential groove design which will enhance traction and grip on dry roads while swiftly dissipating water to prevent hydroplaning. The tread compound is engineered to minimize tread wear while the tire casing is constructed from polyamide and polyester tread plies for all-weather durability.

I was lucky enough to test drive a 2015 Cadillac CTS equipped with 18-inch wheels and Lexani LXUHP-107 tires.

Right off the bat, the Cadillac CTS is an incredible drive. It is comfortable, fast, and has excellent handling. The tires were silent in city driving but there was a bit of noise as I was driving at speed on the highway. The ride comfort was similar to stock and is surprising given the low profile of the sidewalls. There was a lot of traction and grip on dry roads, while wet weather handling and grip was also commendable given the price of the tires.

Unsurprisingly enough, the Lexani LXUHP-107 delivered the right mix of comfort, value, and on-road manners. This is one of the newest tires in the Lexani lineup, and I would have to say that this is a good one considering the entry-level price.

The Lexani LX-Seven is available for large wheel applications, specifically 17-inch to 22-inch wheels.

This tire is designed to handle the demands of sports cars, coupes, roadsters, and ultra-high performance sedans. Perhaps the biggest selling point of this tire is the price. I’m sure you are aware that large diameter tires are a bit costly and can set you back hundreds of dollars for a single tire alone, but not this tire. Depending on the size and width, this tire will only cost $70 upwards per piece.

I was visibly excited when I was handed the keys to a 2008 Pontiac Solstice. I know that this car is not as spirited as the perennial Mazda MX-5, but my test car was riding on aftermarket 18-inch wheels which gave it a sportier and more sinister vibe.

What I really like about the Lexani LX-Seven is the silence and ride comfort, even as I was approaching triple-digit speeds. Traction and handling in the dry was top-notch, while wet weather traction was also good given the price of these tires.

The owner of the Solstice also gave the tires high marks in terms of winter performance. He told me that he had no problems tackling an inch or two of snow on his way to work during the winter season. These are not winter tires by any means, but it is good to hear that this high-performance tire was able to cope with the extreme demands of snow-covered roads.

Lexani LX-Nine

The Lexani LX-Nine is designed for high-performance sedans and SUVs equipped with plus-size stock or aftermarket wheels. The Lexani LX-Nine is available in a variety of sizes starting from 20-inches all the way to 26-inches.

This tire is engineered with a unidirectional tread design that delivers good traction and grip on wet and dry pavements. It is equipped with wide and solid tire shoulders to enhance handling and stability even when traveling at speed. The wide circumferential grooves are designed to effectively channel water away from the treads to enhance traction and stability on wet roads.

My test car is a 2017 Mazda 6 equipped with 20-inch aftermarket wheels and Lexani LX-Nine tires. The Mazda 6 is one of my favorites because it drives like a true sport sedan without sacrificing space and comfort.

The ride quality was good and the ride comfort was commendable given the sporty nature of the tires. The Lexani LX-Nine has a sporty tread design so I was expecting a bit of tautness in the ride. However, the tires remained silent and comfy even when I was treading city streets with occasional bouts of rough pavement.

I was not able to test the tires on wet driving conditions, but traction and grip in the dry was good overall. I also noticed that the tires looked awesome when paired with the aftermarket wheels of my test car. Without a doubt, the Mazda 6 looks like a more expensive car when fitted with the Lexani LX-Nine.

I asked the owner of the Mazda if he has issues with the Lexani LX-Nine tires and he was quick to retort about the tread wear. He got the rims and tires fitted about 6 months ago and the tires were showing signs of minimal wear. However, this is not exactly an issue given the affordable price of the tires.

The Lexani LXHT-106 is designed for light trucks, crossovers, and sport-utility vehicles. This tire is available in a wide range of sizes and applications so you can easily choose the right set for your SUV or pickup truck.

This is a highway terrain tire that can handle a bit of light off-road use. The closed shoulder design of this tire is engineered to produce even tread wear and a silent ride in all types of roads. The dual circumferential grooves are designed to effectively disperse water for enhanced grip and traction on wet roads.

Unfortunately, I was unable to find a test car fitted with the Lexani LXHP-106. I talked to my favorite tire dealer and they told me that customers love the comfort and ride silence of this tire. Other customers complained about the rapid tread wear.

The tire dealer was kind enough to show me the Lexani Mud Beast M/T. Wow. This tire looks formidable. I wish there was sufficient time to find a test vehicle fitted with this mighty off-road tire, but lady luck wasn’t smiling on me this time around.

The Lexani Mud Beast M/T is equipped with beefed-up sidewalls and tread protection technology to offer incredible off-road performance and durability whether you are dealing with deep snow, mud, deep river crossings, or loose gravel. There is no doubt this tire will look particularly awesome when paired with a lift kit and chunkier off-road wheels.

Conclusion

You probably noticed the impressive selection in this Lexani tires review, and that’s a good thing. I particularly like the fact that Lexani offers a wide selection of affordable and stylish tires at affordable prices. If performance, style, and value is what you want in a brand new set of tires, you should include Lexani tires in your shortlist.

Lexani Tires Review! [2022]

Lexani is a South-Korean sub-brand of Nexen Tires that has established itself as a giant in the rims market. Their rims are designed with luxury vehicles in mind, so if you’re looking for some wheels that will make your vehicle stand out, you ought to check Lexani’s offerings.

To complement their superior wheels, Lexani started manufacturing tires that flaunt a sporty, low-profile design. However, you’ll notice that Lexani tires are on the cheaper side.

So, what exactly are we looking at here? Are we looking at a brand of tires that’s here to take the market by storm? Or are we looking at tires that look overly good to compensate for their poor performance? Continue reading for a definitive answer.

Lexani Tires (Brand Overview)

Lexani Tires Overall Assessment

The main aspect that sets Lexani tires apart from other competitors is their aesthetics. The sole purpose of these tires is to add some extra swankiness or ritziness to already-luxurious vehicles like a Benz or a Beamer. And it does so at remarkably cheap prices.

Brands like Continental, Bridgestone, and Pirello are known to produce luxury tires that feature pretty much the same configuration as Lexani tires, but the Lexani’s are much, much cheaper.

However, there’s always a catch with all deals that seem too good to be true, and the catch with Lexani tires is that their performance is mediocre. They’re all flash with no dash. Nevertheless, budget-minded buyers will find a reasonable amount of value in these tires.

Quality

Don’t take our bashing of Lexani’s performance the wrong way, the tires still flaunt very good build quality considering the price. The performance issues are based mainly on their traction in wet conditions. Aside from that, the brand is always striving to better their tires by implementing new technologies.

Extended Flange Technology (EFT) is one of Lexani’s admirable technologies. It allows smaller tires to have a large diameter wheel face, which ensures comfortable riding and enables you to enjoy the aesthetics of a large wheel without having one.

Price

Tires manufactured by Lexani are listed at prices as low as $67 (Lexani LX-Seven). We’ve also noticed that the larger you go, the more cost-effective the prices are, which is really uncommon, in a good way. Just like with many other tire brands, you can find discounts, rebates, coupons, and other special offers on Lexani tires, so be on the lookout.

Range

Lexani features a pretty extensive portfolio of tires, with the main focus being performance tires in small sidewalls and large sizes. Like we previously mentioned, the larger you go with Lexani the more prominent the price difference becomes.

The brand offers performance tires for SUVs, passenger vehicles, crossovers, and trucks. It also offers passenger touring tires and off-road tires. Keep in mind, however, that their off-road tires are more like all-terrain tires, so we wouldn’t really advise them for serious off-roaders.

Fuel Efficiency

There’s not a whole lot of emphasis on fuel efficiency with Lexani tires. We’re not saying they’re not fuel-efficient; we’re simply saying that there’s nothing worth noting about their efficiency. They’re not fuelaholics, but they’re not light consumers either.

Durability

Granted, Lexani tires do come with treadwear warranties, but their tread life isn’t impressive at all compared to other manufacturers. It’s also worth noting that debris build-up has a notable effect on tire wear in Lexani’s case. They do feature deep voids to combat this, but still, we’re not that confident considering their tread life warranties, which cover 40,000 miles on average.

Handling

Handling is where the divide is with Lexani tires. On one hand, they flaunt remarkable handling and braking on dry tarmac, not to mention sharp and responsive steering, but on the other hand, we wouldn’t rely on their traction on rainy days. They’re simply not safe on wet roads, especially when you’re cornering. If you live in an area where it’s constantly pouring, Lexani tires aren’t for you.

Passed on this rubber for 2 seasons, I am very pleased with the transition to another, I see no reason. Holds the road as if rooted to the spot, hydroplaning has never noticed, although I specifically checked it in the rain, the sides are soft on the same wheel, I caught 2 hernias). But these tires are for roads, not for off-road, you can’t put such tires on Zhikuli for country roads. The tires withstood very long trips and mountain serpentines were a pleasant walk with them!

Advantages: They keep speed well and are not afraid of water Drive on the roads

Rubber that conforms to its characteristics (price / quality) is not noisy, it makes the road good. In my opinion, it is normal to replace expensive brands

On my perfect non-studded winter Hankook speed of 30 km/year on “kashi” I got to the tire shop. Having dressed this Kontik, back already їhav 60-70 with such minds themselves. Just a thrill. While everyone was polishing, I calmly їhav. I recommend. They ruled, to the point, rather quickly.

Advantages: Keratinization on ice and snow, price

Weaknesses: Not seen yet

Advantages: The price is good, the quality is good, don't be afraid to go!

Nedoliki: We need to be careful on the ice as well as on all tires.
