Children's gasoline ATVs are almost absolute analogues of adult models, but differ from them in smaller dimensions, engine power and a simpler control system.

Four-wheelers are divided into two categories according to the type of engine:
1. two-stroke ATVs are attractive due to their low cost, simple design and small size. Also ideal for children over 3 years old.
Important! The 2-stroke ATV is equipped with an inertia starter, so the constant presence of an adult is necessary to start the engine. This is inconvenient if you are not ready to relentlessly follow the baby, or your main goal is to teach the child independence.
2. Four-stroke ATVs - have increased comfort, are represented by a wide range of models. A more "elastic" engine provides a smooth ride from the very "bottom" without dips and jerks. In addition, lower fuel consumption significantly saves the family budget.

The entire Avantis range comes with a built-in overclocking limiter. The damper screw is located on the steering wheel, near the throttle trigger. You can set the maximum speed yourself to any comfortable mark, up to 20-25 km / h.
In addition, parents can use the emergency engine shutdown key fob. The range is 100 m.
Some devices in the kit have an ignition key that prevents the engine from starting without the consent of adults. An additional layer of security includes an emergency release pin attached to the driver's belt. If the pilot flies out of the saddle, the ATV will instantly stop.

It is clear that the size of the engine depends on its power.
And that means speed and maneuverability. The power of a 50cc engine usually fluctuates around the 5 horsepower mark, while a 150cc unit produces 10 or more "horses". It would seem, in connection with this, 150cc ATVs should be much more popular than models with 50cc engines. However, this is not entirely true, since a 50cc ATV has a number of its own inherent advantages.
Among the main ones, of course, is the cost of the car. True, with the current range of prices and an abundance of offers, one can also find quite comparable prices for both classes of ATVs. But, nevertheless, a less powerful machine, all other things being equal, costs less than a 150 cc ATV. In addition, an all-terrain vehicle with an engine of 50 "cubes" is much lighter (its mass is about 100 kg) and more maneuverable than its more powerful "brother". Five horsepower is enough to overcome sand, mud, hilly terrain, uneven terrain or roads, and even shallow water obstacles. Wide tires with low pressure in them further enhance the effect of patency, allowing a seemingly low-powered vehicle to overcome obstacles and areas that powerful jeeps are sometimes powerless in front of!
High ground clearance, four wheels, passive safety features and the absence of the need to obtain state numbers for such a vehicle have led to the highest popularity of ATVs with small engines in children and teenagers.
