10-Day Temporary OHRV Registrations are only available to non-residents, May through October for wheeled vehicles only. The fee is $41. Available only at select agents.

 

Permanent antique registrations are only available at NH Fish and Game Headquarters.

 

  • Antique ATV and Trail Bike Registrations are only available to Residents of New Hampshire.  The registration cannot be transferred; and is only valid for the registered owner, as long as they remain a resident of New Hampshire.  The ATV or Trail Bike must be at least 25 years old; the fee is $53. 50.
  • Antique Snowmobile Registrations are available to Residents and NonResidents (as of 9/1/2020).  The registration cannot be transferred.  The Snowmobile must have been manufactured in the year 1994 or prior; the fee is $129.00.

 

Other miscellaneous registrations such as dealers, rentals, trails maintenance, and duplicate registration certificates are only available at NH Fish and Game Headquarters.

 

*Snowmobile: For member rate, must be a member of a New Hampshire snowmobile club affiliated with the NH Snowmobile Association. Must present, at each time of registration, membership voucher with NHSA member ID number, issued to registrant for corresponding registration year.

 

**Other (ATV) and Trail Bike: For member rate, must be a member of a New Hampshire wheeled vehicle club affiliated the NH Off Highway Vehicle Association. Must present, at each time of registration, membership voucher with NHOHVA member ID number, issued to registrant for corresponding registration year.

What you need for First-time ATV and snowmobile registration

Documents you'll need:

  • Bill of Sale that includes the seller's name, address and signature. 
    • If you purchased your boat or recreational vehicle from a business, the bill of sale must be written up on the company's letterhead.
    • Electronic signatures are accepted on a bill of sale/purchase agreement only when accompanied by a printed email chain giving approval of these type signatures between the buyer and seller or broker and client.
  • Proof that you have paid sales tax: complete sales tax Form ST-6 or Form ST-6E. (Please see notes below concerning the ST-6E form.)
    • You can pay this 6. 25% tax online and print out your receipt. 
  • If your off-highway vehicle or snowmobile is new, you will need a copy of the Manufacturer's Statement of Origin.
  • The vehicle identification number (VIN), which is a series of 17 characters found on the frame of the vehicle.
  • A completed Registration & Titling Application
  • A check or money order (made payable to the Commonwealth of Massachusetts) or Credit Card / Debit Card.
  • No cash accepted.

Important information about sales tax and the ST-6E form: 

  1. Sales tax is due on the 20th day of the following month of date of purchase. Massachusetts sales tax is 6.25% of the total purchase price. If you pay your sales tax late, you will be subject to interest and penalties. Questions about sales tax should be directed to the Department of Revenue at 1-800-392-6089.
  2. If you have previously registered your motorcycle, car, or truck with the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (DOT), and you are registering your off-road vehicle with us, too, then you only need to submit a copy of your Massachusetts DOT certificate of registration or title as proof that you have paid sales tax. We no longer require an ST-6E (sales tax exemption form) for this type of registration.

Training Center VOSVOD (License 78 No. 000948 dated 08/08/2011) has been conducting educational activities for 10 years under additional professional education programs.

The VOSVOD Training Center has a structural subdivision of the LEI DO "UCS", which is accredited to train drivers of vehicles supervised by GOSTEKHNADZOR.

If you need a license for an ATV or a snowmobile, the VOSVOD Training Center provides training for drivers of off-road vehicles of categories A1 and A2 (quad bike driver, snowmobile driver, swamp driver).

After successfully passing the exam at the State Inspectorate of GosTechNadzor of the Russian Federation, a state-issued certificate (tractor license) is issued confirming the right to drive ATVs, snowmobiles, swamp vehicles.

Preparation for the management of supervised transport GOSTEKHNADZOR

To drive an ATV and a snowmobile, you need a category AI tractor driver license, which allows you to drive categories: “A” motor vehicles not intended for movement on public roads or with a maximum speed of up to 50 km / h.
