Handling throughout is arcadey but consistent. There's a bit more float to every vehicle than there would be in real life, and clever use of the analogue stick lets you pre-load the suspension before lift-off, enabling you to perform aerial tricks for ATVs and bikes (with a specific trick mode one of the disciplines included), while the interaction between terrain and suspension is convincing and control is tight.

What MX vs. ATV Untamed does very well though is retain Rainbow Studios' excellent control mechanics. Every vehicle in the game controls in a very arcadey manner, but with full simulation influence at your disposal. What we mean by this is that you can turn on a dime and the game is rarely punishing, allowing you to land some crazy jumps and cut corners like a knife, but at the same time you can use your clutch for cornering and acceleration techniques or drop your bike at the top of a jump to stay low in the air.

MX vs. ATV Untamed is an incredible improvement over its brothers and sisters that got released in the past. Any true motocross or off-road fan will gladly welcome this "next-gen" experience.

In its essence, MX vs ATV Untamed is your classic off-road arcade racing game that is extremely over the top and quite enjoyable as the dirt flies from your vehicles as you attempt to race at ridiculously high speeds, all trying to maintain control and hopefully win the race. A nifty little feature of the title is that while you wait for the game to load, the player has the option of racing around a stadium in order to perform a variety of stunts and when its loaded, the player is then ready to challenge the main gameplay of the title, the X-Cross tournament. The control system of MX vs ATV Untamed is perfect on the XBox 360 controller which will take most gamers only a few minutes to figure out.

Animation is smooth and I’m happy to report that the framerate never suffers, which admittedly could really destroy a racer like this.

We had the most fun using motocross bikes and ATVs. These are the vehicles that allow you to attempt the jumps and tricks that you wouldn’t even think about in real life. MX vs ATV Untamed is a fun game to play. If you like dirt bikes and you like gaming at all, it’s a no-brainer.

MX vs. ATV Untamed is an off-road racing game developed by Incinerator Studios and published by THQ. The game is part of the MX vs. ATV. The game includes several modes: Motocross, Opencross, Supercross, Supermoto, Endurocross and Minibikes. The player has a relatively wide selection of vehicles, from monster trucks, to trophy trucks, to quads and motorcycles. In some modes, the gameplay takes place on two motorcycles. The finishing position of the player on the first motorcycle determines who gets the right to ride the second motorcycle. The player's finishing position in each moto is determined by how many points he receives. The goal is to finish the race with the most points. In addition, in some modes, the player can participate in a short training race, which can help players become familiar with the track and vehicle up to "two motos". ( Wikipedia )

Having created comfortable cars and perfectly smooth tracks, the man did not refuse to conquer the vast expanses, completely covered with mud, puddles and potholes. Huge roaring jeeps, nimble and swift motorcycles - these are the best weapons to fight the traps set by nature itself. There are no rules and no beaten track in this race. You decide how to overcome this or that section, but you will not be able to keep your suit and vehicle clean - by the finish line, all riders will definitely be up to their ears in mud. This competition is a paradise for those who are tired of the classic car championships and want a real thrill. Overcoming a route pitted with potholes and filled with mud, or crossing a desert with high sand dunes is not an easy task. Special vehicles will help you: motorcycles and jeeps are waiting for conquerors of virgin nature. Spectators crave an exciting show, a real battle between the riders. Up to 6 people can simultaneously converge in a collective race and arrange a battle for the right to be called a champion!
