Every car owner understands the need to prevent car breakdowns, in particular, oil changes.
Regular replacement of used oil is required:
Why? The oil in the car is used as a lubricant between the rubbing parts, which reduces wear. ATF oil also cools friction parts, protects auto parts from rust. It cleans by collecting mechanical friction residues and removing them to the filter. Over time, the performance properties of the oil, as a viscous lubricant, decrease - it becomes contaminated with waste products of friction, dust, debris, and liquefies. The oil "ages", ceases to perform its protective and lubricating functions properly.
The motor starts to "knock" - an indicator for its overhaul. Temperature drops adversely affect the properties of lubricating fluids: despite the fact that special “additives” have been added to them that make it difficult for oils to thicken, this is inevitable: Winter roads, covered with ice or snow, create extreme conditions for the operation of rubbing mechanisms, their wear increases, friction products enter the transmission fluid in a larger volume, and it thickens and loses its performance properties.
It is better to entrust the oil change to professionals: they will competently determine what causes the noise: the level of ATF oil has decreased, or it is not suitable for this gearbox due to poor quality. Difficulty in shifting gears can be caused by the wrong choice of brand of lubricant, which without experience can simply not be understood.
