This mini tractor implement is used for plowing. Since the design of the model is quite simple, many craftsmen make homemade units at home. Below you will learn not only how to set up a plow for a mini tractor and make parts and assemble it yourself.
During the cultivation of the land, single-furrow, double-furrow and three-furrow plows are installed. The installation of certain units depends on the power of the engine, the properties of the soil. The bottom line is that the entire mass is entirely superimposed on the hitch. In design, there are three types of plows.
Disc structures. Mainly used for plowing virgin and heavy soils. The working bodies are disks on bearings. This solution is used in weedy and wet fields. Plowing depth up to 25 cm.
negotiable. Shares act as working elements. During plowing, the soil is cut and turned over. In this case, the fertile layer is crushed. The plowing depth is adjusted by installing the support wheels of the unit.
Rotary. This is modern equipment, when several shares are installed in one rotating shaft. The units are used immediately before sowing.
Consider in more detail, how to make a plow for a minitractor .
A share-dump or reversible plow is the simplest option, so the first test of development and assembly should begin with it.
How to make a plow for a mini tractor with your own hands? First you need to make the frame itself, for which you need a thick-walled pipe, a corner.
Don't forget to take into account the installation of the support wheel in the design even at the drawing stage. After that, the middle of the structure on the frame is calculated, where the cross member and eyelets for the drawbar are welded.
The next step in the assembly is to fix the post. To install it, two holes are drilled at the edges of the pipe, which will serve to fasten the handles, which will also be made from the pipe. The pipe is rolled out from two edges, one of which is fixed on the frame, and the other is used as a holder. Additionally, a cross member is welded in the middle of the structure.
The plowshare can be made from tool or disc steel 3-5 mm thick. The opener is made of the same steel, then bent at an angle of 80 about . All elements of the plow are welded into a single unit. The plowshare is installed at an angle, which, in relation to the overall design, is calculated independently or the parameters are taken from the forums. Motokosmos experts advise setting the angle in this case to about 150 about .
After that, a moldboard is made. To do this, choose a steel sheet of 2 mm. The dump is connected to the coulter using hinged elements. As a connecting element, you can take the most common steel door hinges. To maintain a certain angle, spacers are installed, which also help to adjust the angle of the blade.
Finally, with the edges of the crossbar, fix the rods for connecting with the tractor. Note that the assembled home-made design is no worse than factory counterparts. Let's take a closer look at how to properly install the plow on a mini-tractor .
It doesn't matter if you use a purchased or homemade analogue, the setting of the machine is always the same. How to correctly set the plow on the minitractor so that the unit does not fail? The setting is carried out as follows:
The general integrity of all structural elements is checked. All moving parts are lubricated.
The plowing depth is also adjustable using the adjustment bolt. If it is tightened, the plowshare enters deeper into the ground; if it is untwisted, the plowing depth decreases.
The height of the frame posts is also checked. The end bars must be adjusted and are at the same level.
Set the width of the grip, with a change in the length of the rod, the transverse shaft. The longer the draft is set, the wider the grip of the plow.
Mounting pin is vertical to the ground. During operation, the supporting chassis must follow the previous furrow.
Thus, you get a versatile machine that can work the land before sowing any crop.
Polaris Sportsman is the best selling ATV in the world. It has been produced for more than a quarter of a century: the line appeared back in 1996. "Sportsmen" are produced in several versions: from the most affordable 450 cc models to powerful liter ones, and each volume has several modifications.
570cc Sportsmans traditionally have the most. For example, in 2022, as many as 8 modifications are available in this volume. The most expensive and interesting is the Ride Command Limited Edition, a 44-horsepower single ATV with EPS and extended equipment.
And how exactly this version differs from the rest of the 570 cc "Sportsmen" - we will tell in the article.
Click to enlarge this and all the following photos
The ground clearance of the LE is the same as the rest of the Sportsman 570: 29 cm. However, there is an important difference: the suspension arms of this version are curved, not straight. Thanks to this, riding where there is a risk of running into a stump or bump will be a little calmer.
Before 2022, the Ride Command system was not fitted to the Sportsman. And this year, only two models received it: the hero of our review and the Sportsman XP 1000 Ride Command Edition.
Ride Command is a 7" waterproof touchscreen display with off-road oriented navigation app. It allows you to plot routes, transfer waypoints from your smartphone via Bluetooth, track the position of your group members (if they also have Ride Command). In addition to purely navigational functions, Ride Command has other features - with its help you can:0005
The system can be used with gloves. In general, this is an indispensable thing for off-road - both convenient and useful. In Sportsman, it is mounted on the steering column at the top.
7 out of 8 Sportsman 570 modifications received these bumpers, except for the basic one (570 EPS). The design is made to last and looks impressive: it protrudes forward, has a pair of transverse elements, and most importantly, it completely protects the headlights, as it closes them around the perimeter. Thanks to this, they will not break, even if you run into something hard and durable (for example, a thick branch when driving through bushes) - the bumper will protect the glass.
The base Sportsman is equipped with halogen headlights and a lamp on the steering column. The Ride Command LE version has much more durable LED bulbs instead of halogens.
Not all Sportsman 570s come standard with an electric winch. But the most expensive and most complete version, of course, has it - synthetic, for 1587 kg.
If you want to use the Sportsman in agriculture, you can buy a plow. There is already a place to install it. What's more, the touch screen will allow you to control the plow by raising and lowering it.
Instead of 25-inch rubber, the model received larger tires: 26-inch 6-ply Duro Powergrip radial ply. This is a worthy analogue of the legendary (but also more expensive) Maxxis Bighorn, which has proven itself well off-road.
Tire rims, by the way, are also different: lighter aluminum instead of basic steel.
