THIS IS DOCUMENT IS A ROUGH DRAFT - IN PROGRESS - A VIDEO WILL ME MADE SOON!
1 - insert key and turn to the on position
2 - put handlebar switch to run position
3 - check for any kill tether buttons and make sure they are mounted securely
Squeeze the front brake lever and check the tail light to see if it have illuminated
If it doesn’t then - Repeat but this time apply pressure to the footbrake brake lever and check the tail light to see if it have illuminated
If the brake light is NOT working still
- locate the fuse holder which is usually under the seat in a clear cylindrical casing . On the red wire between the battery and the starting solenoid
- check the fuse to see if it has broken it’s internal wire
- if broken replace the fuse and start over (this is a common thing no need to worry)
If the fuse was good - then the trouble points to
- dead battery (charge and try again)
- bad key switch
- front right brake lever safety switch unplugged or bad
- Locate starter solenoid and use a Screwdriver as a jumper between the 2 posts to see if you manually bypass the off and on switch
STAGE2: (tail lights comes on and engine spins over with e start button pressed) but won’t start
- bad kill tether button (red button on the handle bar) or a bad left handlebar On/Off
- Left Handlebar assembly on/off switch is bad
- check wire or wires that connect to the ignition coil to make sure they didn’t slide off (very common) - follow the spark plug wire up to a little black box and look for the spade type connector or connectors and make sure the wires are connected
STAGE3
Remove spark plug from engine
Plug spark plug into the spark plug boot
Lay the metal part of the plug on the metal of the engine and try to start it
You should be a spark at the tip of the plug
No spark still - could be a faulty Stator, coil , cdi or wire harness
If you have spark
- make sure spark plug is no fouled (wet or all black)
- then check fuel is turned on with ample full in the tank
- try starting with choke lever up and down to gauge a difference
******* BYPASS Options ********
RED KILL TETHER BUTTON LANYARD ON HANDLEBAR
red button - follow the 2 wires down and disconnect them from the wire harness plug (some models would require that you cut the connector off the wire harness side and connect them together)
FRONT BRAKE STARTING WIRES
- cut the wires at the lever or follow them down and disconnect them at the wire harness - keep the 2 wires from the harness away from each other - so wrap with separate electrical tape or twist locks etc
COMMON ISSUES - CARBURETOR
Carb - bad gas sitting in carburetor for a couple weeks and or stored outside and moisture gets in the carb
- you can try to drain the carb and fuel tank and start with new fuel

Do you want to look like a classic biker or just travel in comfort? Are you looking for a reliable and practical motorcycle for medium and long distances? Then the KV Renegade 250cc is the perfect fit for you. This brutal cruiser will allow you to fully enjoy the trip and impress with its thoughtful design. So let's take a closer look at the Renegade model.
The KV Renegade 250cc is a classic cruiser that has all the advantages of this type of bike. And the main feature of the device is its comfort. And it's not just about comfortable seating or large footrests. When riding a Renegade bike, the rider practically does not strain his back, arms and shoulders, which allows him to drive 600-800 km daily without any difficulties.
But the speed performance of the model is average - 115 km / h. Although this is quite expected, because the cruiser is more "imprisoned" for a relaxing and leisurely ride, rather than racing.
Renegade 250 also has other advantages:
The KV Renegade 250cc is ideal for travel, leisure and moderate driving. But for beginners with a bike, it can be difficult. The fact is that the two-wheeled vehicle weighs 310 kg, which significantly affects its handling. Therefore, sharp maneuvers or cornering will require a certain skill from the driver.
In terms of equipment, the KV cruiser can compete even with the equipment of famous brands. Manufacturer supplied model:
KV brand engineers have also thought about long-distance trips by installing a 15 liter fuel tank on the bike. A full gas tank is enough for about 500-510 km, depending on the driving style and the road. And this is not surprising, given the rather modest fuel consumption of 2.8 l / 100 km.
It's worth starting with the "heart" of the motorcycle, or rather, its engine. The Renegade 250cc is powered by a 250 cc Loncin brand engine, which has already managed to establish itself among motorists. The power unit is characterized by increased reliability, power and efficiency.
"Vitality" of the engine adds liquid cooling. It is many times more efficient than the air system, and does an excellent job of overheating the engine at high speeds. In addition, liquid cooling makes it easier to start the power unit at low temperatures (winter or off-season).
An interesting feature of the KV Renegade 250cc is the 6-speed manual transmission. According to the device, such a gearbox is practically no different from a 5-speed one. Although it has several important advantages: reducing engine temperature, reducing vibrations, optimizing fuel consumption.
But the suspension in the bike is standard: a telescopic fork (front) and a pendulum system (rear). Such a suspension performs well on public roads, effectively fulfills bumps and absorbs shocks well.

PRO COMPANY ROSTIN
- Please introduce yourself and tell us what your company does?
— Good afternoon! My name is Sergey Korobov, Rostin company. Our company is engaged in the production of all-weather floating motorized towing vehicles. At the moment, this is the most compact all-terrain vehicle capable of moving over any obstacles and obstacles.
Our product was created thanks to my passion for hunting and fishing. I was looking for a technique for myself, but did not find a suitable option. Snowmobile for winter only, ATV for summer only. And I wanted all-weather equipment. What was on the market is bulky and inconvenient during transportation and storage.
So the idea was born to create an all-terrain vehicle for two or three people, which can easily fit into a car trailer. To store in the garage with the car.
— Where were you born, Sergey, and where did you assemble the first motorized towing vehicle?
— Born in the Rostov region, but production began in Arkhangelsk in a garage. The first prototype was assembled in the country in his spare time. After that, the idea to start production for commercial purposes already appeared. They rented a room and began to assemble the first motorized towing vehicles.
Subsequently, partners appeared here. Moved to the city of Kirishi. First they rented a room. In the spring we already stopped at our own workshop.
- Does it require special rights?
- No license required. The equipment goes like a walk-behind tractor: without technical inspections and additional costs. Of course, there are reasonable age restrictions: from 18 years. Speeds are low - on the road, the towing vehicle accelerates to thirty-two kilometers per hour. Due to control from the trailer by means of a lever. It is impossible to move on the vehicle itself without a trailer.
— What is the difference between your motorized towing vehicle?
— The technique is distinguished by the fact that it is compact. The ATV is small-sized - everything is great, but in winter it is impossible to move around. A snowmobile drives fast in winter - you can’t imagine better, but in summer it’s already impossible.
Buying and storing equipment in your garage for every season is expensive and inconvenient. Our idea is one towing vehicle for all time.
— What types of equipment do you offer?
- The customer has a choice of three configurations. Previously, we did for each client and he dialed additional options. For production, this approach turned out to be unprofitable. It is easier to plan a task and produce a specific package.
Trailers of different sizes go to the towing vehicle. The large one folds out from above and it turns out a full-fledged double tent. Meter ten the width of the trailer. Two people fit. Twenty meters is the ideal standard for a double tent.
Often the technique is used as a full-fledged boat. We remove the wheels, put on the cylinders and put the outboard motor. The cylinders are three meters long, and the trailer itself is two meters long.
— How were the tests? Has at least one tug drowned?
- There has never been a single case of an all-terrain vehicle drowning. Tests were also carried out in Arkhangelsk in the swamps and on the Kola Peninsula. We went out especially in the winter.
Most testing takes place in Kirishi. There is swamp and mud here. The only thing is that there is little snow here.
— Can you get three thousand meters uphill?
- He will get to three thousand meters if there is a road. The only thing is that the settings of the carburetor itself change with height. There are also clients in the mountains.
If we take the Kola Peninsula, then there are a lot of hills on which you have to climb. Therefore, tests were carried out there.
This technique is more interested in where there is snow, swamps. This is her main focus. Plus, there are many streams, water barriers, where you literally need to swim ten meters. If the river is large, then it is necessary to install hydrofoils. It's fast enough. We put them in front of the tug and you can already sail long distances. The speed afloat is about five kilometers per hour.
— Do you have any corporate colors?
— We do not have corporate colors. This is due to the fact that our equipment is used in the forest, there must be a certain disguise. Therefore, the colors are moderate, so as not to be too conspicuous.
If the customer wants his own color - no problem. Everything is discussed with the client and any color can be made.
MOTOR TOW PRODUCTION
— We are now in the assembly area. Motorized towing vehicles are stored here and the final assembly takes place. Then the technique goes to packaging. Alexey is currently assembling skis for multifunctional trailers. There is also a stage of trimming plastic parts. There is enough room for our production. Our company is small but efficient.
— How many blue-collar jobs do you have in your company?
— We employ 20 people. And locksmiths and turners, and milling machines. Also office staff: marketing, supply, sales and accounting. There are many professions.
— Tell me, do you have an assembly for the end client or do you work in a warehouse?
- Initially, blanks are being assembled, with which we will further complete the towing vehicle for a specific customer. We can also work in a warehouse. All the same, in our profession there is a seasonality. Therefore, in the winter period of time, there is more individual assembly. And in the summer, on the contrary, work in the warehouse.
— Do you use ready-made design solutions?
— If we talk about the idea, then it is ours. Some parts are standard. The engine is the only thing we buy ready-made. All other parts are Russian. Approximately sixty percent is our production. Almost every detail, even the standard one, is being finalized to suit our needs.
Caterpillars are not made by us, but we adapted them to our equipment. We install additional plastic flanges so that the tracks do not fly off and better stay on the suspension.
— What engines do you install?
- There are many manufacturers. There are Honda (Honda) and General Motors (General Motors) and the like. We use Chinese Lifan (Lifan), or Loncin (Lonchin). These engines are optimal in terms of price and quality. They are reliable, there are practically no problems with them and their price does not bite.
— In which regions do you have the most customers?
— If we talk about the northern part, there are no regions where our equipment is not available. In the south, the ATV is much better, there is little snow and a snowmobile is not needed.
— And in European countries?
— There are also in Sweden and Poland, and we are negotiating with Finland. There are some difficulties there. The first batch was shipped to Estonia. The dealer who bought our equipment plans to promote it within the European Union.
— Do government agencies use your equipment?
— Rosneft purchased our equipment. Unfortunately, we have not yet been able to get into the Ministry of Emergency Situations. We are working in this direction.
— How has the pandemic affected?
- It definitely influenced. But there were no problems as such. We do not have such high turnover to somehow feel it directly.
Of course, there is a rise in prices for metal this year. But thanks to the new purchased equipment, we managed to slightly reduce the cost. Thus, the rise in the price of our equipment was not as significant as the rise in price for metal, plywood, plastic, and the like.
— What exhibitions do you take part in?
— We participated in Moscow, and we are going to St. Petersburg. Even in the Czech Republic went to the exhibition.
We also arrange test drives. We post information on the Vkontakte page and on Instagram. We choose a city, we collect people. And on the recommendation of the dealer or our customers, we determine the place and conduct a joint test drive there.
Participated in the competition "Trophy all-terrain vehicle" for two years. We are the only motorized towing vehicle that has ridden with large all-terrain vehicles. And good enough.
PRO EQUIPMENT
— We bought two CNC machines from you. One milling FS65 and turning TS1625.
— For what tasks did you buy machines?
— First of all, with modern equipment, there are more opportunities to make parts better.
The milling machine was bought for the manufacture of gearboxes. If we used to weld gearboxes, now we sharpen them on turning and milling machines. This results in higher quality parts.
The machines have performed well in general. We have been working for them for about three months during this time there were no problems.
It took more time to learn how to operate this machine. While the specialist got used to, studied, studied the technique itself.
— Why did you decide to buy machines and how did you choose them?
- We had mostly universal machines. Thanks to the support of the Industry Development Fund of the Leningrad Region, we have the opportunity to take a grant. This money was used to purchase modern equipment and significantly improve the company's capabilities.
According to the grant requirement, these must be Russian machines. compared with Chinese. In terms of filling, your equipment is at a good level and the price is competitive.
We also purchased a Russian-made laser machine. If earlier we used third-party organizations to perform some operations, now we do it ourselves. This is convenient and helps to spend less time on design decisions.
— How loaded are your machines, how many shifts work?
— We work in one shift. So far, there is no need to increase the staff and the number of shifts.
We also work with third parties. We carry out orders for metalworking.
The machines are quite productive. Our milling machine is loaded by sixty percent, so we still load forty percent with other third-party work.
The lathe is used more, but there are also periods when we load with additional orders.
— How do you receive third-party orders?
— We have a sales department, a marketing department. We have pages on the Internet in instagram. We are quite well represented, so this advertising is enough.
— Are you planning to expand your machine park, for example, with turning and milling equipment?
Considered as an option, but for now these two machines in this configuration are enough. The equipment was purchased for specific operations. What we produce does not yet require additional capabilities.
— Do you plan to move production?
— In general, the city of Kirishi is very satisfied. Close to Peter and all supply chains. Therefore, we plan to develop here for the time being.
- Will there be any new equipment? More, less or longer?
— Of course there are plans. Now in implementation. As soon as such an opportunity arises, then we will show it. While it's too early to talk about it.
PRODUCTION MANAGEMENT
— How is your working day?
- Speaking of production, there is a production manager here. He deals directly with issues within production, also monitors the implementation of plans.
As far as my working hours are concerned, they are not perfectly planned. There are not enough specialists in our company. The company is small and there are more universal employees. Therefore, my working day is in some orders, and work with the marketing department, and work with production.
Usually the morning starts with a planning meeting. Then we all go to work. I am engaged in the fact that I am considering promising developments, or some additional opportunities where to go. We also shoot videos for our clients, plan events.
- Do you have time to work with your hands on the drawings or the machine?
— Now to a lesser extent, extremely rare. Just sit down in the evening and do something yourself. I like it.
And so the standard working hours: from eight to five.
- Is there a staff turnover?
- The team practically does not change, only increases. There is a small turnover, of course.
— Do you conduct the final interview with the employee?
— Of course. With up to fifty people, personal participation in the interview does not cause any problems. On the contrary, there is an opportunity to select personnel and participate in the selection of a specialist. In any case, this is a team decision.
— How do you generate new ideas and solutions? Are there such team meetings?
- Such meetings exist directly and with turners and locksmiths at the assembly site. Ideas appear and they are already discussed together.
— Thank you very much for the interesting interview, Sergey!
IN CONCLUSION
All-weather universal motorized towing vehicle ROSTIN is a real hard worker.
