The tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) includes sensors in the tires to measure tire pressure.
This information is relayed to the engine's computer or body control unit and displays warnings when tire pressure is too low. They are powered by a small battery and are built into the wheel's valve stem or attached to the inside of the wheel. When the TPM sensors are damaged or wear out, they may not work properly.
