Drive wheels are located on one side of the bogie and are structurally distinguished by the presence of a ring gear that receives torque from the gear on the shaft of the travel motor. The gear is located exactly in the middle between the two drive wheels and engages simultaneously with both of them. Thus, the driving wheels are part of the open and dry running gearbox of the hoist.

The driven wheels simply support the trolley and the hoist from the other side, without being involved in the operation of the gearbox. All four running wheels are compactly located within the frame, consisting of the sidewalls of the hoist trolley. The sidewalls, in turn, are pulled together with studs. nine0003

The running wheels are mounted on axles located on the inside of the sidewalls. Ball bearings are used to reduce friction between the wheel mounting hole surface and the axle surface. And for precise positioning of the wheels, special spacers and locking rings are used.

The alignment and distance between the drive and driven wheels is of great importance, because if the wheels are too far apart, the working surface of the wheels will not be fully used and the hoist may fall. If the wheels are too close to each other, then they can pinch the monorail, and the hoist will not be able to move at all. nine0003

Since Bulgarian hoists can have different carrying capacities, the load taken by the undercarriage and wheels can also vary widely. For this reason, the dimensions of the running wheels can also vary. The exact dimensions and catalog numbers of the required driving and driven wheels should be specified in the table, referring to the brand and load capacity of the hoist.

Hoist limit switches ensure that the drive is switched off in its extreme operating positions. As part of the Bulgarian hoists, the lift drive is equipped with limit switches.

As part of the lifting drive of the Bulgarian hoist, the limit switch is located in a closed terminal box on the motor housing. Structurally, this switch consists of two or three pairs of contacts in a common housing, switched using a rigid lever. nine0003

The hoist limit switch lever is actuated by a special rod located along the drum. The rod carries a pair of crackers, which are pressed by the rope layer during its movement. By moving the crackers along the rod, the operation of the limit switch is adjusted and the extreme positions of the hook suspension are fixed.

Adjustment of the hoist lifting drive begins precisely with adjusting the position of the crackers and setting the lifting and lowering switch. This work must be carried out very carefully, since any mistake can lead to serious damage to the hoist or its load rope. nine0003

Purpose and safety

If you do not turn off the lifting drive in the uppermost position, then during operation, situations will systematically arise when the hook suspension hits the hoist body during lifting.

This situation is considered an emergency because it is fraught with the following consequences:

• damage to body and hoist hook block;
• damage and / or breakage of the cargo rope, as well as the fall of the load; nine0083
• failure of the rope layer.

Excessive descent of the hook suspension also does not bode well: a loose hoist rope falls off the drum grooves and from the clip block. Subsequently, when tensioned, the rope does not fall into the streams, the rope layer breaks off, is clamped between the cheeks of the hook clip and is damaged. In addition, a situation is possible when a fully unwound rope begins to wind onto the drum from the other side with a crease at the attachment point. All of the above leads to the failure of the rope and damage to the body of the hoist and hook suspension. nine0003

Thus, the hoist lifting drive must be automatically turned off in the extreme upper and extreme lower positions , not relying on the operator's eye and his consciousness.

The hoist movement drive is not equipped with limit switches, as it is low-speed. The operation of this drive is limited by elastic end stops that dampen shock loads.

Seals are installed on the input shaft of the hoist gearbox and on the rotor of the hoist motor itself. Their installation location is on the side of the front and rear covers, two pieces per gearbox and per engine.

Seals designed to work as part of a gearbox are marked with the letter B in the marking, and seals for the motor rotor are marked with the letter A . However, these are not the only differences. The fact is that the design of the bearing supports of the gearbox should provide greater tightness, and for this reason, the marking of the seal B for this reason always strictly indicates the normalized thickness of the seal - from 10 to 15 mm, while for type A seals only the inner and outer diameters are indicated. nine0003

Since the nomenclature of the production of Bulgarian hoists includes models with a lifting capacity of 1 ton to tens of tons, the motors and lifting gearboxes included in them can have a wide variety of dimensions and power. Therefore, the diameters of the necks of the shaft of the gearbox and the rotor of the lifting motor can also be different. Moreover, as part of the same motor and gearbox, the front and rear journals of the shaft and rotor have different diameters and are equipped with seals of different sizes. nine0003
