Read on for a deeper look at each necessary item for your bike repair kit, including specific purposed for each item and tips on which model or brand to purchase.
Flat KitIf you’re going to learn to fix just one thing on your bike, learn to fix a flat tire. After all, flats can happen on the road during the most inconvenient situations. Your mobile bike repair kit should include a flat kit that contains a spare tube, tire levers and a pump (or CO2 cartridge). Patches with a glue tube (not the self-adhesive kind) are helpful if you run out of fresh tubes while riding.
Don’t go cheap. Purchase a quality sturdy pump with both Presta and Schrader compatibility.
Purchase a hex wrench set for your bike repair kit. This should have many sizes of hex wrenches, ranging from 1.5 mm to 8 mm. A loose hex wrench set can be helpful when working in tight spaces, such as when mounting water bottle cages. For those prone to losing things, a single tool with hex wrenches attached is preferable. Park Tool's Fold-Up Hex Wrench Set is one great option. Remember, loose bolts are easier to tighten using a three-way hex wrench.
MultitoolReferred to as a “multitool,” each tool set is designed to be compact and light enough to bring on a ride. A multitool that features more than 18 tools, including hex wrenches, often comes with a chain breaker and sometimes spoke wrenches, the m19 from Crank Brothers is a Backroads favorite. On multi-day bike rides, a pair of pliers is nice to have—just in case of mechanical issues.
Save your fingers from mechanical messes by putting on a pair of rubber gloves before working on your bike. You can also simply tuck an individually packaged hand wipe into your patch kit. Either way, this helps your cycling gloves and bar tape stay nice and clean!
Screwdrivers
You'll need a Phillips screwdriver for derailleur adjustments, brake adjustments and adjustments to bike accessories like cargo racks, panniers, etc. Complete your bike repair kit by adding a flathead screwdriver for adjustments.
Cleaning SuppliesMaintaining your bike means cleaning it regularly—especially after rides in wet conditions. Add the following to your bike repair kit: cleaning solution, rags and component cleaning brushes. Simple Green all-purpose cleaner does a fabulous job cleaning bike frames, components and chains. A heavier degreasing cleaner is only needed for extremely dirty chains. Special cleaning tools, such as brushes or chain cleaners, make it easier to clean your bike. However, most bike mechanics simply use a shop rag or old T-shirt fabric.
Lube and GreaseThere are many kinds of chain lube. Some people swear by Tri-Flow for everything—chains, pivot points and lubricating cables. Others use a wax-based (rather than oil-based) dry lube when mountain biking on dry, dusty trails. In wet conditions, an oily lube is preferable but requires more attention and cleaning. Thicker grease should only be used for pedal installation, bearings, headsets and bolts. Never allow metal to rub against metal without lubricating first!
Learn how to properly apply chain lube. This includes always wiping it down with a rag afterward to remove excess lube and to limit dust collection.
Pedal Wrench
If you ride bikes often, chances are you’ll want a pedal wrench in your bike repair kit in order to swap out pedals. Pedal wrenches are thinner than regular wrenches (to prevent scraping up crank arms), and they have long handles with grips to make it easier to remove pedals. Grease your pedals with a thick grease to prevent them from seizing.
These are the basics you’ll need in any solid bike repair kit. Over time, tools can be added to your kit that meet your specific needs. Happy fixing!
Any bike that gets ridden seriously as transportation or on long rides needs at least a basic tool/emergency kit, and the knowledge to use it unless the rider is always in a position to call a friend with a car or a cab when their bike needs a quick fix on the road. If you never travel more than a few miles, this can be overkill, and calling a friend or a cab may be just the ticket, but if you want to be more self-reliant, this is something you should seriously consider. This list may sound like an awful lot of stuff to carry, but really, it only weighs a few lbs and fits in a small, under-seat bag that comes off quickly so I don’t have to leave it with the bike if theft is a concern. If you always carry a regular rack top bag, you can also just put all this in a small nylon bag and throw it in there, but I prefer an under-seat bag.
We’ve already discussed the Topeak ALiEN 2 multi-tool, but what else should you carry?
Multi-tool: Again, I use the ALiEN, but there are lots of good options if you prefer something else.
Mini Pump: This actually goes on the frame of your bike, as it’s a bit too big for most under-seat bags. Coming soon, we’ll have a review from Bill of his very favorite one, but a good pump is a lifesaver. Some people instead carry a CO2 inflator, which is faster and easier to use but does require disposable cartridges, and each time you have a flat, you’ll need at least 2 of those cartridges. There are combined pump/inflator tools that we’ll also talk about soon.
Patch kit: Patch kits are easy to use, light and compact, and if you get more than one flat on a ride (it happens more than you’d expect), it can save you when you’ve already used your spare tube. Plus, on a rear wheel, patching a tube can be faster than replacing it, as you can often do this without removing the wheel at all. Another upcoming post is going to show you how to patch a tube.
Spare tube: Sometimes, a tube is just too damaged to be patched, or has had a failure such as the valve stem breaking off which isn’t something that can be patched. To save weight and space, I usually keep a lightweight version of the right size tube for my bike. Since one of the first things I do with most bikes that I own is switch them over to heavy-duty thorn resistant tubes, I just take one of the originals and put that in the toolkit.
Tire levers: Needed for removing the tire for patching. One of the reasons I like the ALiEN is that it has built-in levers. Dedicated levers aren’t expensive, though, and they’re lightweight, too. Also, they tend to be longer, and therefore have more leverage, so they’re often easier to use if you have limited hand strength.
A wrench that fits the hub nuts: If your bike has quick-release front and rear wheels, you don’t need this, but if you have an internal hub on the back, such as the NuVinci, a wrench that fits is a great idea. 99% of the time, this is a 15mm wrench, but you should check your bike. A 6-inch adjustable wrench can also work, but it will be heavier, and when using an adjustable wrench, you do need to take more care to not round over the nuts. A fixed wrench is the best choice. Some multi-tools have a 15 mm wrench built-in, but again, if you have limited hand strength, something with more leverage is a great idea.
A small length of duct tape: I wrap a 6” length around my wrench, or you can use a pencil as well. This is in case you get a tear in the side of a tire – a “boot” made of duct tape can be the difference between riding home, and walking!
A spare battery fuse or 2: Not for every bike of course, but this is the EVELO blog!
A few zip ties: In case something comes loose, it’s nice to have a few zip ties. I usually carry about a dozen 8” long ones and a half dozen 4” small ones. They weigh almost nothing and a huge number of uses!
A pair of disposable latex gloves: Not absolutely necessary, but good for keeping grease and grime off your hands during a repair. Also, nice to have in an emergency when it starts raining and the temperature drops 20 degrees and you don’t have a pair of regular gloves. Just keeping your hands dry and the wind from directly blowing on them makes a huge difference in comfort.
Pencil and paper: In case I need to make a note of something, for example, a license plate number, or the phone # of the nearest cab company after I get that from directory assistance. I keep this in a small ziplock bag to keep it dry, along with the next item:
Change and a $20 bill: In case your cell phone’s battery dies, it’s nice to still be able to use a payphone if you need to. Also, the $20 is a great thing to have in case you lose your wallet or have some other mishap. I’d rather be able to sit in a coffee shop or fast-food restaurant when it starts raining while I’m waiting for my friend or cab ride, and a hot cup of tea or coffee or the beverage of your choice and a snack makes it all the more pleasant. Just try to remember, this is for emergencies, and if you use it, replace it ASAP!
For the budding mechanic: A good pocket-sized repair guide. One good option is the “Pocket Guide to Emergency Bicycle Repair” by Ron Cordes and Eric Grove. It’s only 3.5×4.5 inches and a half-inch thick. I don’t carry this myself, but for someone who’s new to this whole bike repair business, it’s really helpful to have. A future blog post will cover this book in detail.
Basic first aid supplies: A few bandages of varying sizes. 6 Aspirin, or other OTC painkiller of choice. A few alcohol pads in sealed foil packs, useful for cleaning grease off grease and grit off of the bike, and also cleaning cuts on yourself if you take a spill. 1 day supply of any prescription drugs you need to take regularly. Wrap these up in tinfoil and tuck away. It might just save your day.
A plastic garbage bag, or $2 disposable poncho: Just in case of an unexpected downpour or getting caught out after dark. More than once, I’ve gone for a ride on a beautiful day with a perfect forecast, not taken a jacket, and had the weather go south on me. Being able to cover up can mean the difference between just mild discomfort or freezing cold, shivering ride home!
Keychain style flashlight or headlamp, LED type, not incandescent: The keychain style is tiny and lightweight, the headlamp style is a bit bulkier but easier to use. You can get these for a couple of bucks or less at the local big box hardware store. The LED ones are lighter, more durable, and last considerably longer. Very useful if you need to make a repair after dark! I keep a keychain style one as a backup as I normally have a headlamp in my backpack.
Spare brake cable
Spare shifter cable
A short length of the right size chain.
A small tube of liquid lip balm. Usually, these are around 1/3 ounce, and in addition to being nice on chapped lips, it’s an easy way to carry a tiny quantity of lubricant in case my chain starts squeaking or a cable starts sticking. Just be sure to properly clean and lube whatever you used it on when you get home!
This often sounds like an awful lot to carry to many riders and sometimes even I go for a ride without this whole kit. The absolute bare minimum I will ever go for a ride that I wouldn’t want to have to walk home from is a patch kit, tire pump, and multi-tool. Anything over 3 miles and I want the full toolkit.
One final thing to remember: If you’re riding with friends, not everyone has to carry a complete kit. I’d still personally bring my minimalist kit, no matter what.
In future posts, we’ll go into more detail on how to use these tools and recommendations for particular ones.
Lanterns are one of the main accessories of a cyclist. Needless to say, they are essential when cycling at night or in poor visibility conditions.
Over the past decade, manufacturers have made significant technological advances that have increased the power of lamps, batteries and reduce the weight of bicycle lights. Primarily by switching to LED lamps, which produce significantly more light per watt than older halogen or metal halide lamps. Thanks to new technologies, advanced top-of-the-line flashlights provide brighter light output and longer runtimes than ever before. The modern outdoor market offers a huge selection of lanterns, which can sometimes be bought for ridiculous money - a little more than the cost of a cup of coffee in a Moscow coffee shop. But how among all this variety to choose not just a lamp, but a good bicycle lamp? Still, your safety depends on it, and this is probably the second most important safety element after a bicycle helmet.
So, from this review you will learn how bicycle lights differ and what to look for when choosing. All this will be told on the example of the best models that exist on the Russian market, which can be bought in Kant stores.

Bicycle lights serve two purposes - to see the road and/or to be seen in the dark.
In order to remain visible to other road users at night or in fog, a set of front and rear warning lights is usually sufficient. So, for example, if you ride a bike to work, then regardless of the time of day, and even more so at dawn and dusk, marker lights are required.
If you are a leisurely rider on bike paths and/or well-lit city streets, then buying marker lights will not cause serious problems, since almost all models of leading brands do an excellent job and are affordable .
They are often sold as a kit - front and rear light, usually with a charging cable and appropriate mountings.

All bicycle lights - sets.
The standard kit is sufficient in most cases for city driving in the evening. But if you have to drive in difficult conditions, such as on multi-lane roads with heavy traffic, or leave a lit city into a “dark hole” of suburban highways, where only rare lights line the roads, in this case it is worth buying lights that maximize the visibility you on the road and allow drivers to notice you in time, even if an overtaking car suddenly jumps out from behind a hill or around a bend.
Top-of-the-line bicycle rear lights provide not only rear light, but side visibility as well. They are also distinguished by the presence of a large number of different modes - from constant glow to flashing and their combinations - so that you are as visible as possible both day and night.
Also keep in mind that your enemy on the road is not only darkness. The brighter the ambient light, the brighter the system needed for visibility. 15-lumen tail lights may appear bright after dark on dimly lit streets, but are harder to see in bright daylight, well-lit city highways, or bright car headlights.

One of the best rear lights on the market. Thanks to its clever hull design, the Topeak Taillux 25 provides a viewing angle of up to 240 degrees, meaning you'll be seen by vehicles behind you as well as vehicles approaching from the side.
One control button that turns on the flashlight and allows you to select one of four different modes. Autonomous operating time of the flashlight is up to three hours with a maximum constant glow and up to 40 hours with a flickering mode, which is confirmed by the riders' reviews - the operating time declared by the manufacturer coincides with an accuracy of up to a minute.
The mounting system uses a small but strong silicone rubber band that allows you to attach the light to various sizes of seatposts. In addition, there is a set of adapters that fit into the back of the light, adapted to the most common seatpost shapes. The kit also includes a clip so you can attach the flashlight to your pocket or backpack.
We can hardly imagine a modern bike that is not equipped with such a necessary device as a bike computer. To understand why bicycle computers are needed, what functions they have, what models are most popular, our detailed article will help.

Kryptonite incite xbr rear brake light
3 501 3 890
Buy
Innovative bicycle rear signal light with an intelligent system that adapts to speed and riding style - the built-in acceleration sensor lights up when the bike slows down and brakes.
The brake light is 3 times brighter when braking than when driving. The Incite XBR Rear is bright and easy to use with good battery life. The minimum luminous flux is 25 lumens, and the maximum reaches 50 lumens.
Incite XBR Rear is ideal for those who regularly cycle to work or school due to its long run time, ease of operation and good visibility, not only from the rear, but also from the side.
The operating time of the flashlight is very long, it will last with a margin, even if you drive for a day without stopping with the flashlight on. Of course, no one will move 24 hours non-stop, unless you are participating in a multi-race. But on the other hand, you can turn on the flashlight and forget about it for the entire trip, without worrying that it will be discharged. And with economical work, the charge will last for several days. This can be true on long trips and for bikepackers.
The Incite XBR Rear has a memory function that allows you to turn on the light with the last settings you used. All control is carried out using a single button, which is easy to press even while driving. The installation of the light is very simple and it attaches to any seatposts without any problems.
Bicycle tools as well as bicycle lights are a mandatory attribute of any trip. To figure out which tool it is desirable to always have at hand, you can read our detailed article.
If you are cycling at night on rough terrain, then you do not need parking lights, but bright lighting that allows you to see the road and obstacles so as not to get injured or get lost. To do this, you need headlights with a powerful luminous flux.
And when riding a mountain bike, in addition to the headlight on the handlebars, a headlamp will also be useful. This combination will provide enough light to spot snags, rocks, as well as steep sections of the track, cliffs and other hazards in time.
A few detailed articles about headlamps:
- Headlamp technology guide. Ten top lights for competition and training
- Petzl lights. A complete overview of the entire 2021 collection and more!
Another scenario: let's say you drive to work in the morning and in the evening along poorly lit streets, or there are, for example, dark parks and squares on your way. In such situations, you need a powerful headlight to see obstacles and the road, paired with a flashing taillight to be seen.
The choice of headlight for a bicycle should be approached more carefully, since the spread in quality and brightness is quite large. The first thing to look for when buying a headlight is one that has non-slip mounts, an easy-to-remove, lightweight housing, a battery indicator light or sound that alerts you when it needs to be recharged, and an IPX water rating of five or higher.
But the main function of a bicycle headlight is light.
Many manufacturers, especially Chinese know-name firms, lure the buyer with high luminous flux figures. But, as tests show, the value in lumens in these "models" often does not reflect the real characteristics, where the most important thing is how much light a given flashlight will actually produce throughout the entire trip.
It is rather difficult to objectively compare the parameters of different models, therefore, special standards have been developed, on the basis of which the main characteristics of different models are evaluated.
One of the most common standards is ANSI/NEMA FL1, adopted in 2009. Its development was carried out by specialists from the American National Standards Institute (American National Standards Institute) and the National Association of Electrical Manufacturers (The National Electrical Manufacturers Association). Thanks to the FL1 standard, it is possible to unify and objectively compare the quantitative and qualitative consumer characteristics of flashlights.
The standard in question includes six main parameters for lanterns. Measurements are taken from 30 to 120 seconds from the start of the lighting device, the tests are repeated three times, the average value is taken as the basis.
Measured in lumens, a special diffusing sphere with a reflection coefficient of at least 80% is used to determine it. Inside the sphere, a test lamp and a measuring device are installed, separated from each other by a screen. After the preparation is completed, the lamp turns on, and the device reads the radiation intensity in the visible part of the spectrum.
To determine this parameter, the included lamp is directed to the luxmeter used to measure the illumination. Next, the most illuminated spots in the entire stream are determined at distances of 1 meter, 20 meters and 30 meters from the device. After receiving the data, the average value is calculated, measured in candela, which is considered the peak luminous intensity.
This test determines the distance at which the light level produced by the flashlight is 0.25 lux (1 lux = 1 lumen per square meter). Approximately this level of illumination is created in open areas during a full moon in cloudless weather.
To calculate this parameter, the lamp is turned on for 30 seconds and the luminous flux is measured. The resulting value is taken as 100%. Then the lantern is switched on again, which works until the level of light flux drops to 10%.
To test the strength of the lantern, drop it onto a concrete floor from a height of at least 1 m. After 6 drops, it must remain in working order, without cracks and chips, disassembled and reassembled. The test uses 5 copies of the same model. The maximum height at which all samples continue to work after a fall is rounded to the nearest whole number and is a measure of impact resistance.
This parameter is defined by the IPX standard. IP stands for Ingress Protection and X tells the user that it is not dustproof. Lower setting: IPX-0. It means that the case is completely waterproof and any contact with water will damage the electronic components.
The last thing to consider is the radiation pattern. For example, many mountain bikers prefer to use a wider beam (or spotlight) on their handlebars for general trail illumination, combined with a more focused beam on their helmet to provide as much light as possible in the direction they are facing.
In addition to bicycle lights, we know nine more bike accessories that will make riding not only safer, but also more comfortable. About all useful bike accessories - in our special article.
Usually, when I hear the term headlight, the first thing that comes to my mind is car headlights. It's safe to say that this name fits the BBB Cycling StrikeDuo bike headlight perfectly.
The BBB Cycling StrikeDuo range includes three types of headlights, of which the StrikeDuo 1200 is the most compact and the StrikeDuo 2000 is the most powerful, as the name implies because the number in the name indicates the maximum light output.

Higher lumens require more battery power, so the battery and size of the StrikeDuo 1600 is slightly larger than that of the StrikeDuo 1200. And accordingly, the StrikeDuo 2000 has the most power in the entire line, as well as the largest size.
All StrikeDuo models have an aluminum body and two LED lamps. According to the description, they are IPX4 waterproof, otherwise referred to as "splash proof". On the top of the flashlight, there is one operation button, which also indicates how long the battery can last. When the lamp is on, the button is illuminated in blue. When the battery level is 10% or less, the indicator will flash. On the back of the headlight is a USB-C port for charging. According to BBB specifications, USB-C not only charges faster but is also more waterproof. USB-C cable included.
Headlight attached to handlebars with StrapFix. This is a strong holder with a thick elastic band that stretches over the steering wheel and clings to the latch. The holder inside is covered with thick rubber, so it not only fixes firmly on the handlebar and does not slip, but also does not leave scratches. The shape of the holder is made in such a way that it is suitable for the tubes of any bikes - MTB, gravel, road bikes. The headlight and the holder are interconnected by a simple latch. With this system, you can also place the StrikeDuo on other BBB brackets. For example, to mount on a helmet or on a GoPro holder.
StrikeDuo has five steady light modes and two flashing modes. The last two features are useful when cycling during the day on cloudy days when you need to be clearly seen by motorists, pedestrians and other cyclists.
Which of the three models should I choose? If you drive in the city and the suburbs where there are street lights, then the StrikeDuo 1200 is suitable. In order to comfortably illuminate your path, a 500 lumen mode is enough, you can see the space at a distance of up to 50 meters in front of you and notice such obstacles in time, like curbs or turns. By switching to a more powerful mode - up to 1200 lumens, the light beam will become brighter and wider, and you can also see what is happening in front or on the sides of the road.
But if you're going to be cycling at night in the woods where you can't see any light, or in the mountains where you need a very bright light so you don't accidentally land 1000 meters below the trail, the top model, the StrikeDuo 2000, is better.

Bicycle Light Moon 2022 rigel max 1500 lumens, 2 diodes, 6 modes, usb-c

TheMoon Rigel Max is a very smart new generation flashlight with an intelligent mode of operation, as well as a VLS mode that allows you to control the light output. But the main feature is the automatic power off mode when braking and stopping. This function works as follows - when the built-in sensor does not detect movement within 20 seconds, the flashlight will automatically switch to 10 lumens, and after 60 seconds it will go into standby mode.
Rigel Max has only two static modes - high beam (1500 lumens) and low beam (500 lumens). But these are not fixed values, you can adjust the output luminous flux using the Moon VLS - Variable Lumen System to improve performance or, conversely, save battery power.
For example, let's take the brightest mode at 1500 lumens. That's way too high for normal road conditions, so instead of 1500 brightness in this mode, you could go down to say 1000 or even 800 lumens, which would almost double the battery life. What's more, you can even dim the lower mode's brightness to a minimum of just 20 lumens for up to 56 hours of battery life. The only caveat is the lack of an LCD display that displays the number of lumens, so you have to adjust it intuitively, but in fact it is quite easy.
In addition to two configurable static modes, there are four flash modes: Flash 1, Steady Flash, Day Flash and SOS. If you hate scrolling through the blinking modes to go back to the brighter static ones, you will definitely be pleased with the fact that the Moon Rigel Max separates the static modes from the four blinking ones. Double clicking on the button is all it takes to switch between them.
However, if switching on and off still seems too troublesome, you can switch to the intelligent option (IO) by pressing the button for three seconds while the power is off. In IO mode, the lamp's computer "detects" the darkness and turns itself on. This option is ideal if you often have to drive through tunnels and heavily shaded areas during the day. In addition, this computer intelligence also detects artificial light, so do not panic when you find yourself under street lights.
Given the high performance of this model and its compact size, the battery life is quite decent. You can say it's impressive. By turning on the headlight at full 1500 lumens, you can drive with this light for 1 hour and 40 minutes, and at 500 lumens, the charge will last for 3 hours and 30 minutes. In flickering modes, the flashlight can work from 48 to 120 hours.
TheRigel Max has an "anti-dazzle" lens that refracts light so you don't dazzle oncoming drivers or cyclists, this feature can be seen by the "notched" ridges on the top half of the lens. An interesting feature - if you install a lamp under the steering wheel, and not from above, you can change the direction of the light flux.
Rigel Max has an IPX-7 waterproof rating. This means that it will not only withstand splashes, but also submersion in water up to one meter deep for half an hour, so riding in a downpour and even a storm will not be a problem - the flashlight will survive if you and your bike survive.
The Rigel Max mounts with a Garmin-style bracket and watch-style strap that fits a huge range of handlebar diameters, is easy to install, and holds the light securely even on rough roads.
Overall, for the price, this smart light is one of the best on the market for city, country, country and forest driving.

Price is often the deciding factor. If you are on a tight budget and you don’t need a particularly powerful headlight that allows you to drive where there is only a starry sky above your head, then you can safely buy the Rigel Max 700, which has all the advantages and “smart” features of the previous model, but with a less powerful luminous flux . As mentioned above, in the description of the StrikeDuo line, in most cases, when driving on illuminated city streets, a luminous flux of 500 lumens is sufficient.

Lantern Front Kryptonite incite x6

TheKryptonite Incite X6, like the Moon Rigel Max 700, is also not bright enough to ride on dark roads, but if you're a commuter bike looking for a light that will light your way through the city and keep you visible on city streets, maybe , this is one of the best models for such purposes.
Kryptonite uses lux, not lumens, to measure light output. Lux is the total amount of light falling on a certain area, not the amount of light emitted, which is expressed in lumens. In other words, lux is determined by a combination of the amount of light emitted, the optics used, and the radiation pattern. The power of the Kryptonite Incite X6 with 60 lux of light output and an accurate beam pattern is enough for riding in the city and suburbs.
Incite X6 is one of the innovative models of the new Kryptonite line of "intelligent" flashlights. It has an easy-to-read battery monitor display and seven modes, including auto-brightness mode:
At the top of the flashlight there is one button to switch between all seven modes and four small red LEDs that show which mode you are in. Despite the fact that the button is not backlit, it is quite easy to find it even with thick gloves.
A useful function is to display data on the display, which shows how much time you have left before the lamp goes into emergency mode, i.e. economy flickering mode. This timer is another smart feature. He knows what mode the flashlight is in, knows how long it can run in this mode, and counts the time based on this data, while using several different calculations, depending on the change in the flashlight's operating modes.
Charging via micro-USB cable takes about four hours. The display shows the charge level in percent. The charging port is located on the back of the flashlight and is protected from the weather by a rubber plug.
The flashlight mount is handy: it has a ratchet that screws on tight and a cam clamp that allows the flashlight to rotate 180 degrees horizontally, while a 2mm hex bolt adjusts rotation.
Of course, not all the best models on the market are presented in this review. Therefore, in conclusion, I would like to say that the best bicycle light is the one that you will actually use. Make sure the model you choose is right for your needs, easy to install, easy to use, and compact enough to take with you wherever you go.

Bicycle light makes cycling at night safer.
Thanks to the lights (front - white, rear - red), the cyclist in the dark is clearly visible to drivers of passing cars and pedestrians.
Narrow beam headlight suitable for those who drive mainly on dirt roads and highways. Such light will not blind motorists. And a flashlight with a wide dispersion angle will help you better see what is happening on the sides of you, and pits if you often ride on broken roads.
Fixed lights are long lasting and inexpensive. But they are difficult to mount and inconvenient to remove every time you leave the bike unattended. Therefore, now they are practically not used.
- front lamp; - back lightDetachable multifunctional LED lamp is convenient to use. Universal mounts - on the steering wheel or with the help of a contact pad. Such mounts are installed once, but the lamp can be easily removed at any time.
Marker lights are attached to the frame or handlebars so that the cyclist can be seen on the roadThey are small, run on long-lasting batteries and are inexpensive. There are lanterns with different glow modes, as well as with an additional sound signal.
Important! Most lights are now LED. They emit a bright white light and do not dim even when the battery or accumulator runs out.
Flashlights with a dynamo generator are a tightly attached device complete with a dynamo sleeve. These lights are easy to use and do not require much maintenance.
Cycling helmet lights let you shine in the direction you choose. They are attached to the helmet with special tapes.
Important! A helmet light does not relieve the cyclist of the obligation to have a front and rear light on the bike
- mounting bracket; — elastic fastening; - removable mountMounting bracket is suitable for long night bike rides.
does not loosen over time, reliable;
difficult to install.
Elastic, detachable mount is a silicone strap with a low power flashlight that can be attached to a handlebar or frame.
easy to remove by hand;
The strap should not be used in cold weather.
Removable half-cylinder mount is the sweet spot between flexible and virtually inseparable mounting mount. Suitable for any type of riding and any bike model. It is installed on the steering wheel once, but the lamp can be removed and changed.
Bicycle bell is a signal accessory that helps to keep the cyclist and other people safe.
- mechanical bell with percussion principle; — aluminum mechanical bell with increased volume; - electric bell — klaxonMechanical bell with percussion principle . It is enough to hit the tongue of the mechanism to extract the sound.
Mechanical bell with louder horn is the loudest aluminum bicycle bell. The enlarged cover creates additional sound volume, and the unique spring system makes the ringing louder. The bell is easy to install, and its mount fits all handlebar diameters.
Electric bell . It has speakers and the sound volume can be adjusted. Operates on batteries or accumulator. The electric bell is easy to use - to call it, you need to press a button.
INTERESTING
Klaxons are the oldest type of bell. It's a trumpet with a rubber bulb at the end that you have to press to produce the sound. Because of their appearance and ease of use, horns are most commonly found on children's bikes. It is compact, lightweight and suitable for any type of bike.
Hand pumpMini pumps are also lightweight, compact and mounted on a bicycle frame.
When choosing a mini pump, pay attention to the maximum pressure for which it is designed. Pressure is often reported in pounds-force per square inch (psi) and bar (BAR). Their ratio is 1 bar = 14.504 psi.
According to the maximum pressure marking, pumps are:
- up to 90 psi, or 6.2 BAR - suitable for mountain and pleasure bikes; - up to 120 psi, or 8.3 BAR - a priority for mountain, city and road bikes; - up to 160 psi, or 11 BAR - a clear choice for road bikesTelescopic pumps pressurize in both directions of movement of the handle:
They fit both bicycle and car nipples equally. You can use the twist lock to unlock or lock the secondary camera. They are attached to the frame with bolts or flagella.
Stationary pumps are ideal for a garage or apartment. This option allows you to get a lot of pressure with little effort and is securely attached to the nipple.
The pump is selected based on the type of nipple:
Important! There are universal pumps with interchangeable nozzles (adapters). They fit all types of nipples
Manufacturers always label tires with higher and lower pressures:

Lightweight and strong titanium roof racks resist corrosion but are expensive.
Luggage racks made of aluminum and its alloys also weigh little, but are inferior in strength to steel and titanium.
steel racks are stable, strong and inexpensive, but heavy.
The most popular two-point carrier is most often made of aluminium. They are only suitable for city riding or small bike trips, as it will be difficult to fix a bulky backpack on a flat area of such a trunk.
The cantilever carrier is designed for light weights up to 15 kg. Most often it is used on city bikes, if another rack cannot be installed due to the structure of the brakes. It is easily removed, but it is supported by only one mount, so it can break from a slight overload;
TranzX Tri-Post Welded Fixed Bike Rack fits bikes with wheel diameters from 24" to 29". It can be mounted on bikes with disc brakes using long bottom bolts and a two nut spacer system. The design of this trunk allows you to safely and reliably transport cargo;
The Welded Adjustable Carrier is suitable for touring. It will withstand a heavy load and will not "loose" on the road. Welded roof rack ideal for difficult touring trails
Bicycle fenders are used to protect against dirt flying from under the wheel rim.
Full size classic fenders are perfect for city bikes.
Full size fenders are not suitable for mountain bikes - due to the deep tread, dirt gets stuck between the fender and wheel and gets in the way.
Therefore, for mountain bikes with heavy treads, wings of a shorter length and a slightly different design are used. They are usually easy to install and quickly removed. As an alternative to the front fender, you can use a shield:
EXPERT TIP
For road bikes, choose the lightest fenders to get up to speed faster
In order for mirrors to help you navigate the road and move safely in traffic, you need to get used to them. Most models have a very small viewing angle, and larger diameter mirrors look bulky.
TIP
We recommend that you mount the mirrors securely and comfortably for the rider so that the settings do not go astray while driving. Mounting point can be on the handlebar, under the handlebar, on the helmet or goggles
Mirrors on handlebars:
widen the view;
are easy to set up.
reduces the working space on the grip;
the setting is lost when parking or bumping.
EXPERT TIP
You don't have to limit yourself to mirrors on the road. Be careful and look around more often
The mirror is adjusted, and then glued with special glue or Velcro to glasses or a helmet for the duration of the bike ride.
Mirrors on helmet or goggles:
light;
settings almost never go astray;
to look in the mirror, just turn your head a little;
good sharpness.
you need to glue the mirror every time;
narrow view;
glass and a bracket next to the eyes are not the best solution for an emergency.

Chekhol is needed to protect the bicycle from the dirt during the transportation.
TIP
In order not to make a mistake with the size of the case, you need to measure the length, height and wheel of the bicycle You can open the flask and drink from it with one hand without taking the other hand off the steering wheel.
When choosing a flask, keep in mind:
Baskets look more aesthetically pleasing than trunks. Therefore, they are often installed more for beauty than for practicality, although it is also possible to transport cargo in them.
Made from natural materials . They look nice, they are mounted on the steering wheel.
Made of fine wire mesh . Very light and durable.
Made of plastic . Such a basket is not only a container for transporting products, but also a bicycle decoration.
Bicycle baskets are rarely used for sport bikes and are not suitable for long touring trips. But on city bikes in a basket it is convenient to carry a bag, picnic products or even a pet.
Basket with permanent attachment to handlebar . It is attached to the steering column using a bracket and is designed for weights up to 15 kg.
Basket with quick release handlebar . The bracket is attached to the steering column, and the removable basket is secured with a special clamp. It is quickly and easily removed, convenient for trips to the store and is designed for weights up to 10 kg.
Permanent frame mount you can mount the basket on the frame instead of the trunk to fix it as tightly as possible.
Removable rack mount . The basket is installed on the trunk, if necessary, it can be removed.
