To do this, it is enough to reduce the pressure in it to such an extent that, deforming under the weight of the machine, it spreads over the ground. But with a pressure of 2.4 atm, designed for normal driving on asphalt, even this tire digs in. Now let's reduce the pressure to 0.8 atm. What is happening?

But, when the water thickness on the surface is too large, and the car is driving at high speed, the water does not have time to be removed from under the wheels. A water film forms under the tires and the wheels begin to slide on the water. This effect of sliding through the water is called aquaplaning. The car at this moment becomes uncontrollable for a few seconds, and this is enough for the car to go into a skid at the moment the clutch is restored after overcoming a large layer of water.

1. The most important thing you can do in wet weather is slow down. At moderate speeds, tires have less risk of "floating" in the water layer.

2. Increase the distance from the cars in front of you on the road. You can avoid hydroplaning, but there is no guarantee that other road users will not collide with it: you need to leave room for maneuvers in unforeseen situations.

3. In rainy weather, your windshield wipers obviously work. But even if the rain has stopped, turn them on to the maximum before forcing large puddles to ensure a normal view. Also remember that oncoming cars passing through puddles can pour on the windows of your car.

For safe driving in the rain, it is important that the tires are not worn out.
