Significant temperature fluctuations in the middle of the Russian spring are a common thing.

The criteria for using winter and summer tires are described only in the Technical Regulations of the Customs Union "On the safety of wheeled vehicles". Thus, paragraph 5.5 of Appendix No. 8 prohibits the operation of vehicles equipped with tires with anti-skid studs only during three summer months. Experts unanimously assure that danger on the roads awaits both those who have already "changed their shoes" and those who still prefer winter tires.
According to RIA Novosti in the Russian representative office of Hankook Tires, driving on studded tires at positive temperatures increases the reaction time and response of the car to steering actions, the braking distance is significantly lengthened, the car breaks into a slip in turns earlier.

When to change tires and how not to get fined for out of season tires

In warm weather, the winter tire overheats and the braking distance increases, says Pirelli.
According to road tests conducted by the German ADAC club, the braking distance of a car with an anti-lock braking system (ABS) on a dry road surface from a speed of 100 km / h at a temperature of +25 degrees Celsius in the case of winter tires turned out to be 16 meters, or 44%, longer than with summer ones.

Tires should be checked regularly (at least once a month). The following are signs that indicate the need for tire replacement.
