View sourceThere are three different difficulties that you can choose in the game. As you move up difficulties you earn more money for completing and winning various races and or set task.
In Beginner Mode your car is automatically staged and you will need to heat your tires. You do this by pressing the Accelerator and doing a burnout as shown below.
After you've done your burnout, your car will be staged and you will need to get ready to start. Once the "Get Ready" sign disappears there will be a 2.5 second count down untill the stager light up. When the lights is green press the Accelerator to launch your car.
The Amateur Mode is very similar to beginner except that you have to shift Up and Down gears using the + and - buttons. In amateur mode you earn 33% more cash than beginner mode.
In Expert Mode you will not stay away from the starting line, meaning that you will have to crash to the line untill the stager light comes on. Once you come up to the point you will have the ability to fail the brakes the engine by nitro Clutch and the Accelerator. In Expert Mode you earn 0% more cash than beginner mode.
To launch the car you will need to let go of the Clutch and hold the Accelerator down. To change gears you will need to press and hold the Clutch, press the Up or Down gear button and then let go of the Clutch . You can hold down the Accelerator the whole way through the gear change.
Once you gained experience in drag racing a variety of cars in Freerun mode, you can step up your game to professional drag racing, known in-game as Tournaments. In these tournament races, the transmission mode is set to manual and all the drag races are 1/4 mile long. The weather/time of day cannot be changed as it set to daytime by default.
There are three types of Tournaments, each requiring a car in a certain class which depends on the number of and type of upgrades installed on your car. There are three heats (Quarter Final 》Semi Final 》Final) in which you'll face random AI drivers and cars that are equal in performance and skill to you and your car, making the tournaments quite competitive. Players will need skill to make a perfect launch and use the transmission with precision to beat the AI cars. These tournaments also need some tricks to be used like changing the gear ratios (gearing) of your car to accelerate/launch faster and have a higher top speed than the AI cars that they will face in these tournaments.
Cars with little to no upgrades can enter the Light Cup Tournament. Only cars that have a class rating between A and D can enter this tournament. Winning all three heats will give a prize of $40,000 in-game cash after paying a non-refundable bet price of $10,000 in-game cash.
Cars with competitive upgrades can enter the Semi Pro Kings Tournament. Only cars that have a class rating between F and R1 can enter this tournament. Winning all three heats will give a prize of $160,000 in-game cash after paying a non-refundable bet price of $40,000 in-game cash.
Maxing out your car with the best upgrades available from the parts shop and/or crates can enter the Pro League Tournament. Only cars that have a class rating between R2 and X can enter this tournament. Winning all three heats will give a prize of $1,000,000 in-game cash after paying a non-refundable bet price of $200,000 in-game cash.
This is the screen that shows which heat you are currently in after starting a tournament or after finishing a heat.
This is the drag screen. A careful note to remember is that you should launch the car at the right time. If you launch the car before the drag lights turn green, you'll hear a horn which indicates that you have been disqualified from the tournament. This also means that you'll lose the bet money you paid to enter the tournament.
As these are tournaments, the both the player's car and the AI cars will always have the same drivetrain type. Like in the picture you see a Eagle Talon TSI against a Nissan GT-R (R35), both have AWD drivetrains to keep the tournament drag races competitive.
When using a car with a particular type of drivetrain, there is a ~90% chance you'll get an opponent/AI car with the same drivetrain type. It is known by looking at an opponent/AI doing a burnout (could be FWD or RWD depending on which wheel spins in burnout) or not (definitely AWD). This is the key to know if you and your car is upto the challenge of winning against it.
Certain opponent/AI cars like Honda Civics and Mitsubishi Lancer Evos (regardless of any generation) can outrun a player's car regardless of manufacturer/model/modifications. It maybe a glitch but the only way to outrun these particular cars is to use a very light/AWD car.
You only need to heat your tires if your car is RWD or FWD. AWD cars do not need to heat their tires in Drag mode, however if you do choose to heat your tires you will have more grip off the line, therefore allowing you to achieve a faster time. To heat your tires with an AWD car (requires Amateur or above), press the Down gear button to neutral, hold the Accelerator and brake at the same time.
(Requires Amateur or above) A better way to launch the car quickly is to press the Down gear button when staging and hold the Accelerator. When the green light is on, press the Up gear button instantly. The RPM charged will give a boost to the car and hence achieve a faster time.

In today's article, we are going to cover all Pixel Car Racer tips and cheats and help you become the best pilot in the game!
If you're familiar with the old Need For Speed games, you'll find that you'll have a lot of things to do here, just like you had in NFS. From NoS to many other car customizations, you'll be able to create something truly unique to match your style and turn your car into something that will make others turn their pixel heads after!
So, if you're ready to learn everything there is to know about the game, then why are we still talking? Let's not waste a second and dive right into Pixel Car Racer tips and tricks right here below!
Start by setting up the controls
Setting up the controls is very important because right when I started playing I had no idea that the game didn't come with an instruction manual and that you would have to open everything yourself.
Basically the first thing you need to do is set up your custom controls so you can get used to how the game plays and make every race a lot easier. We want to win easily, not make the game much harder than it needs to be, right?
So go to the Options menu in the main interface of the game and there you will see three small options on the right that you have to adjust: Steering, gear shifting and mph or km/h.
- Steering will come into play especially when you are doing all city races, capturing the flag and so on. In my opinion, it's easier to use the arrows on the screen, because that way you won't move your device by mistake and collide with another car, slowing yourself down.
- shifting is basically how you change gears. Now you can choose the option that is most convenient for you personally, I prefer two with a plus and a minus, plus being on the right side.
- MPH and KMH are the "miles per hour" or "kilometers per hour" that the speed meter will show you. Pick the one you're most familiar with, it's easier.
You can now try different combinations, but make sure you try them out and use the ones you find the most suitable for your playing style.
Get used to the controls
Once you've finished customizing the controls, it's time to get used to them! You can get started simply by going to a drag race that doesn't require supers and will let you try them out quickly. Drag races usually don't take as long as street races, so let's try this first!
Go to 'Race' button and select 'Drag' -> 'Freerun' -> 'Beginner' and select 'GO'. This will send you into a new race that is definitely one hundred percent winning so make sure you do this over and over again until you get the hang of how the game plays out.
Once you have a complete understanding of how the game works, and how the controls work especially, we can move on to the next tip!
Start making money early
One of the best ways you can start making money from the earlier stages is by making a quick investment. I suggest getting a new car that can take you a whole mile and win and start making money! Here's how it works:
- Firstly, right when you start in the game you will have some money, about more than 10000. Go to the car dealership.
- there you can choose a new car.
- buy a new car that has a pretty decent speed and not a lot of weight (I went from Asia - > seventh car)
- head to the parts store
- buy a couple of items that you are interested in if you want (we'll go over all the details in the parts store below) Still move on to the next step!
- Go to Race -> Drag -> Freerun -> Rookie and go to the 1 mile race in Tsukuba!
You will definitely win this one, so you will see that you got $2000 from it! Below it, there is an option that allows you to double the money by watching ads. Do this and basically you will earn 4000 from one race!
Make sure you "farm" this race because especially early, it's very rewarding and it will give you more money than you think. Soon enough you will be able to afford a super nice car and very strong car parts, so it's good to start here! It's easy and fast, and easy money from the race can't be a bad thing, can it?
Customize your car in every possible way
Now about making your car stronger, you can choose to customize it in a variety of ways. From the color it has, to parts, tires and so on. Let's go through everything, okay?
- decals: they are just decorations on your car, nothing super out of the ordinary.
Lugs: Small "screws" that will thread into your car tire.
is a spoiler: it goes on the back of your car to make it more aerodynamic and of course make it look better!
- seats: car seats (no other explanation needed, I think). They should be as light as possible IMO, depending on what you want to achieve with the car.
- Bodykit: This will go front, side and rear and it will give your car that really sporty racing car.
- Paint: Automotive paint that can be anything you want.
- engine: car engine. You should look for one that has a lot of HP (Horsepower)
- wheels: rims where the lugs are screwed in mostly.
- NoS: if you have played NFS, you will know about it. If you haven't, it's gas that will speed up your car for a short period of time, helping you especially during drag fights.
- Turbo: car's turbo option (you have to set, default car will not have)
- brakes: car's brakes. The better car you get, the better brakes you should get too in my opinion.
Tires: Always try to go for tires that give you very good grip.
- Suspension: Switch to some good suspension whenever you can, because it will change the height of your car as quickly as it reaches its optimum speed and good suspension is a must in all racing cars.
I suggest that you always focus on buying the best parts for your car as they will make a huge difference overall. You can always use them on your old cars, then take them off your old cars and put them on your new car once you've got one.
Go to the dealership and look for the car of your dreams
There are basically 3 types of cars in the dealership: Asian, NA and European. They all have different brands (you may know Hyundai from Asia, Ford from NA, BMW from Europe and so on).
If you are looking for a specific brand, you can find it in the region it belongs to. Now we can assume that you have money for a pretty decent car. Try to find one you like and if you have some time on your hands and want to also find it in the color you want, you can do it by all means!
A little bit of Pixel Car Racer advice to find a car in the color you want to open the car dealership menu -> head on the region your car is from and scroll all the way to the car you want to get. There, it will always show up in a different color whenever you open the menu again and again.
So if you want a pink BMW without spending money on paint, all you have to do is keep browsing the store over and over until the car comes in pink (or whatever color you choose)!
What is the best car in the game?
Now you can ask yourself this question, because I did too. To be honest, all cars can be pretty decent if you buy good parts. But if you judge them by default, I can tell you this:0003
For beginners (early money, so that means you are not very rich in the game yet): when you only have a few thousand dollars with you, you should look to the NA region on the 9th option (20k$) or in the EU region on the 10th option ($14.5k). As a region, you can also go for the 40th car which is pretty good overall ($14k)!
For intermediate players (in the middle of the game, you have about 100-200k$ in the bank):
- EU region: a beautiful BMW, 38th car (129k$), 41st option, amazing Audi ($170k)
- NA region: 40th car ($120k), 43rd car ($159k)
- as region: 89th car (149k $), 91st car ($260k)
At the end of the game, when you really want to go for a very powerful default car and make it even better, you should look at the following:
- EU region: 48- th car ($600k)
- NA region: 47th car ($816k)
I think these will be the best performing cars out of the stocks you can buy. Now there are others that are good, of course, and I'm not saying these are the only good ones, but they are some of the best in the game in my opinion.
Level up and get free items!
Whenever you finish a race, you will get some experience that will count towards reaching a new level in the game. I suggest you try racing as much as you can, because it's super helpful, like you never know what free parts might be!
You can get these parts in a box in your garage, so make sure if you see a box there, click on it and get free rewards! Another thing to note when you level up is that you get the ability to highlight a skill point!
You can choose to allocate that skill point in EXP or cash. I think you should keep them somewhat balanced as both more experience and more money will come in handy later!
Participate in tournaments and win a lot of money!
Whenever you take part in tournaments you will be eligible to win prizes for captures! These prizes can be large sums of money, but the fact is that the tournaments also require money to sign up for them! So I suggest that only if you have enough money, a good enough car and a good knowledge of the game only then you should start registering for them!
During street racing, pay attention to the cars
When racing in this mode, you will see that the cars can move freely. I suggest you hold your controls well so you can avoid them and not crash into them. Since cars can move, they can of course crash into you as well!
Do your best to avoid them and especially while you are at super high speeds (250 km/h+) try to move before the red exclamation mark gets too close because it will be hard to avoid at that speed them!

I like the game very well, but fix the bug with slippage and with the left pedal in expert mode
It makes no sense to rate the game, the developers abandoned it anyway, if you also think so, then please click on the useful button so that newcomers do not write why there are no updates.
The main problem of the game is its variability, it is missing. Everything is the same and ordinary, an abundance of cars are trying to fix it somehow. But even this is not enough. Quite rare updates (even very). The mod story has not been shown for a year, it would be nice if there was at least some info that “we are testing” or “look what we could add in the development of the story mod.” If there was at least some connection with the audience, all of the above could have been avoided.
