Sixity N6-Series Full-Metallic HH Sintered Bronze Brake Pads for ATVs and UTVs deliver HH-rated maximum friction and are the best brake pads for the most demanding off-road conditions. Sintering, which is the fusing of metallic particles together using pressed-metal-powder technology, enhances the frictional properties of the brake pads so they last longer even under heavy-braking conditions. The specially formulated, high-density sintered bronze compound delivers unmatched stopping power across the full range of operating temperatures with excellent initial bite and fade-free performance under extreme heat conditions. While finding the right brake pads for your ATV or UTV can take time, replacing brake pads and rotors is a maintenance necessity, especially if your ride is already exhibiting symptoms of failing brakes including brake fade (reduction of braking force at high operating temperatures), grinding, dragging, skipping, or non-responsiveness. Whether you need rear brake pads or front brake pads, consider Sixity Powersports for your next brake pad replacement.

Guess what the fifth shock is for? We give a hint: this part works in the suspension ... of the passenger seat ... Yes, ATVs have not yet had a seat with its own suspension. None other than one of the Polaris engineers took a ride on the main truck.
The Polaris Sportsman 850 Touring is a continuation of the single-seat model that debuted last year with the same engine. Fundamentally, the “850s” differ from their predecessors in a new frame with an unconventional layout of units, the rejection of the McPherson front suspension in favor of a two-lever scheme, electric power steering and other, no longer so noticeable solutions.
ROCKING CHAIR
The Touring has been slightly longer to increase stability when riding with two people. The passenger seat is not just comfortable, it is like a home sofa. And the reason for this is the suspension strut under it. The words of our photographer, who is by no means a fan of ATVs, are indicative: “I am ready to go far on such an ottoman, and not just not to walk during the filming.” However, when the speed increased and the pits became larger, the passenger first complained that he was swayed like on a ship during a six-point storm, and then began to shout something about catapults. Here's one for you. But after studying the design, it turned out that the suspension strut is equipped with a spring adjustment. We twisted the nut, clamped the spring - and again Polaris carefully and gently drove the “second number”.
There is a dirt-proof compartment under the front trunk lid
The plastic fuel tank is located at the bottom, towards the front of the ATV. The engine is in the middle, and the variator is generally shifted back. All this is done to lower the center of gravity and excellent weight distribution along the axes. The skepticism expressed by the conservatives during the debut of the model about the location of the gas tank did not materialize. The single-seat version has been on sale for over a year, and no one has yet contacted the service about a leaking fuel tank. Although ... everything can be pierced with reinforcement, and not only durable plastic.
- Instead of the rear seat, you can install an accessory - a cargo box
- The drain plug located at the bottom of the CVT housing can be unscrewed with a coin
values. It does not respond to a sharp pressure of the gas with a separation of the front wheels, but at the same time it is powerful, like a heroic horse. Safety systems are connected to the engine - EBS engine braking and ADC descent assistance. These are not marketing gadgets, but useful and necessary things. Even for experienced pilots on steep descents, a small mistake when using the brakes easily leads to somersaults. It is checked up, and not only on personal experience. 9Ol000 pendants for the ability not to choke on pits can be given five, but they are tuned specifically for comfort, and not for jumping and other adrenaline outrages. The rear suspension uses an anti-roll bar with long struts. Both front and rear are adjustable spring preload - a thing that really works.
Brake control is extremely simple. Under the left hand is the lever of the combined brake, and under the right foot is the foot, which is responsible only for the rear axle brake. The mechanisms themselves are disk. In front they are installed in both hubs, and behind there is only one disk of impressive size on the right axle shaft. Why not two? Yes, because almost all utilitarians have a simple gearbox without a differential in the rear axle, so if one wheel slows down, the second one also slows down.
Radiator stands high and protected from branches by front grille mesh
Well, the most remarkable device here is the electric power steering with variable characteristics. It not only reduces the force on the steering wheel, it also protects the hands from impacts transmitted from the wheels, working as a damper.
So, the new Sportsman 850 Touring is a very comfortable touring ATV. He's like a limousine made on the basis of an SUV, and it's just a pity to see him covered in mud up to the steering wheel. And it makes little sense to check the limit of its patency on unsteady soils, where weight is the most important thing. After all, the “athlete” with this case is like a good person, who should have a lot. So let other models storm the swamps, and on this we will travel in comfort and cleanliness.

When we talk about American, Canadian ATVs, we mean BRP and Polaris. There is also the Arctic Cat, but it has not been seen in Russia lately. These two brands dictate fashion and show everyone how a modern ATV should be. They are followed by the Chinese, Japanese and our native manufacturers, but it is these two brands that are trendsetters.
In our video we will talk about one of them. Polaris Sportsman Turing. This model is perhaps the most popular among the Polaris in Russia in the states and probably in the world. Otherwise, how could one explain the fact that since 2010 this model has been produced for more than 10 years with minor changes. This American ATV demonstrates high power and comfortable ride. It is these qualities that are in demand among many Russian ATVs.
According to the passport, its power is 78 hp. Width on standard tires 121 cm and ground clearance 28.5. Load capacity 165 kg. 55 front and 110 rear. Tank 20 liters. Weight 365 kg. Of the features of this model, one can note the front trunk, which is regularly installed on the ATV.
For hiking and expeditions, these are excellent parameters, with which it will not be a shame to go off-road, but ... With regard to driving conditions in central Russia, this is not enough. Therefore, there are many motorcycle services all over the country, including official dealers, who offer different tuning options for these ATVs.
Tuning Polaris Sportsman Turing since 2010 in our country has made a significant step forward and in our video we will look at modern solutions for the Sportsman.
Let's start with the most important thing - installing a radiator extension with a snorkel. Here is a link for those who are interested to know what a stem with a snorkel is and what it is for. A novice quad biker, having opted for this model, will be furious that, having installed a radiator extension with a snorkel, he will lose the front trunk. And that's not all you have to sacrifice the headlight on the steering wheel. Well, just some kind of game.
However, after watching the videos on the pipe and talking with experienced owners, they still come to the conclusion that it is necessary to install the offset. Well, where the takeaway is, the snorkel is already an axiom that has been living in the minds of quad bikers for a long time. The question of what kind of stem, where to buy and where to put it is an individual question. To whom it will be interesting, we will throw links below, but for now we are actually talking about the kit.
He, as you understand, is installed instead of the standard trunk and blocks the headlight. To make up for these shortcomings, you can install front panniers on the takeaway transport platforms, and install an LED headlight on top of the takeaway. By the way, almost everyone uses front trunks in our travels. Previously, overall trunks were attached to the sites, then they came to wardrobe trunks. In our videos over the past 3 years, you will see many tuning options using these comfortable panniers.
As for the headlight on the steering wheel, the light that it emits is initially very weak in order to illuminate clearings, turns on them or ditches on the way at night. If we compare the light of a narrow beam on the take-out of the radiator and the regular light with 3 headlights on, then the LED headlight will surpass all 3 taken by 2 times. This is a well-known fact that can only be news to a beginner. Therefore, a bunch of headlight removal is justified in all directions.
A few words about snorkels. On our channel you can find many extreme situations when snorkels were simply necessary. Basically it's fords. Swimming on quads is not part of our format and therefore snorkels protect the engine and transmission from water and mud, which is always there on the roads. Set them up or not? Of course yes. After all, when planning a route to new places on the map, it is impossible to determine the depth of a particular river or stream. Not only water, grass, plant seeds can easily clog a radiator. As a result, a spoiled mood, an unfulfilled route or engine repairs, God forbid.
The choice of rubber is also very ambiguous, but there are some proven options that will provide comfort on the road, at the same time will not harm the transmission. We will not offer any specific models, but the recommendations are. Ideal size 27. Width 9 front and 12 rear. The drawing is muddy, although many prefer checkers. Checkers are a more comfortable option for high-speed runs, and mud, respectively, in difficult conditions. For Polaris, this is quite the right size, width and weight. With such wheels, you will not overload the transmission and spend money on suspension repairs. Smoothly moved to the suspension. Regular shock absorbers and springs will please you only at the very beginning. Already after 100 km, the quadric will sag a lot and the clearance will decrease. You can turn the preload on, but the ride will be less comfortable and the whole point of soft suspension comes down to Zero.
Rubber will correct the position slightly, but…. There are two options either lift, bent arms, or gas-oil adjustable shock absorbers. I am for the second option. The suspension in this case will work much better. The wheels will be in constant contact with the ground. Handling will increase significantly and comfort will increase. Also on such shock absorbers there are stiffness adjustments that can be quickly changed at a stop. In general, we recommend. About shock absorbers can be found in this section.
No bumpers on Polaris. The front plastic headlights are not cheap and therefore the front bumper is a must. At the heart of the bumper that is installed on this ATV is a stainless steel pipe with a diameter of 42 mm. Wall thickness 1.5 mm. It looks quite impressive and menacing, but in fact it weighs no more than 6 kg. It is mounted on two powerful bolts of the front subframe and on the frame from below.
The rear bumper primarily protects the muffler, which is most often hit in a collision, and headlights, which cost a lot of money. At the same time, 2 rear lights are located on the bumper, which give a wide illumination of the rear space. Comfortable in the night forest.
The quad bike has a standard trunk.
