Resetting Your Tire Pressure Light

If the TPMS light ignites on your dashboard, then check the tire pressure in each tire and inflate them as necessary to the recommended PSI. This figure is located inside the driver’s side door or in your owner’s manual. If reinflation doesn’t work, try out these actions:

  • Attempt to reset the TPMS sensor by driving at least 50 mph for 10 minutes. The next time you turn the car on, the light should be off.
  • Start the battery on your car, but not the ignition. Locate the TPMS reset button (usually beneath or near the steering wheel), and hold it until the light on the dashboard blinks three times. Release the button, start the ignition, and the light should be off.
  • Add air to all tires (including the spare tire) to 3 PSI over the recommended amount. From there, deflate them completely. When all are deflated completely, inflate them once again to the recommended tire pressure in order to reset the TPMS sensors.
  • With the vehicle off, pop the hood of the car and use a wrench to disconnect the positive battery cable. Turn the car on, honk the horn for about three seconds, and reconnect the battery. This is meant to release any power stored in the vehicle so that the TPMS light will disappear.

operation: How to reset the Ford Fiesta tire pressure warning light?

To reset the Ford Fiesta tire pressure warning light, all tires must be inflated to the recommended pressure. The recommended internal pressure is indicated on a sticker affixed to the inside of the driver's door pillar. When all tires have returned to this pressure value, it will be possible to turn on the dashboard so that the sensors read the new pressure value; if it is correct, the warning light will automatically turn off and disappear from the dashboard forever.
