How to treat tired face

9 Tips So You Don’t Look So Tired and Feel Sleepy

En español | "You look tired" is a phrase no 50-plus woman likes to hear. It's a loud and clear hint we're not coming across as fresh, healthy and attractive to others — and who needs that? Clearly some combination of stress, insomnia, the daily barrage of social media and news, family/work/health issues and a few too many late-night Netflix binges is throwing us serious shade. Here are nine ways to snap out of it with an at-home routine and a 911 fast fix.

1. Cold brew your face and body

No hitting the snooze button. Even if you feel and look like a zombie, a cold shower, steamy suds-up and icy rinse finish will get your senses tingling, smooth superficial creases from your face and lift any brain fog. Prefer languishing in a cozy bath? Do the cold, steamy, cool routine as you wash your face. The heated soothing cleanser part will still steam the lines and the cold will give your circulation a jolt.

2. Moisturize while skin is damp

Timing and technique matter. Think of a "tired" face like a deflated balloon, a "fresh" face like a round inflated one. If you lightly blot your face and immediately apply your hydrating cream or oil, skin gets plumped up. Wait five minutes, or 20, and you've lost that absorption window when emollients work best. Gently massage moisturizer into face, neck and décolletage for two or three minutes. This helps relax tension lines and gets a glow going.

3. Freshen eyes ASAP

The skin here is super thin and dry. It not only shows fatigue first, but amplifies it by going red, puffy, dark-circled and saggy. Clarify the "whites" with fast-acting drugstore drops like Lumify by Bausch & Lomb ($12, Target) or Alcon Naphcon-A Eye Drops ($11, target.com) both staples in A-list celeb makeup artist kits. Next a caffeine-packed eye cream like Garnier SkinActive Clearly Brighter Anti-Puff Eye Roller ($8, target.com) with vitamin C and caffeine, cool metallic roller tip soothes or Dickinson's Original Witch Hazel De-Puffing Eye Gel with caffeine and cucumber ($10, target. com) — chilled if possible (keep it on call in the fridge) — to soothe and reduce swelling and discoloration. No drops or cream handy? Check the freezer for frozen peas or blueberries and apply the icy bag over closed lids for five minutes. Or try cooled tea bags.

4.

Fake your best skin

When you look tired, stressed mature skin either gets temperamental (sensitive, ruddy and possibly prone to breakouts) or it can go desert dry (ashy, sallow), and expression lines and wrinkles seem to sink deeper. Either way, a creamy, dewy stick foundation with a wide range of 30-40 shades like Flesh Firm Flesh ThickStick Foundation ($18, ulta.com), Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation Stick ($46, sephora.com) or Hourglass Vanish Seamless Finish Foundation Stick ($46, sephora.com) pulls your face together fast. Pricey? Yes, but when you're aiming for authenticity instead of a mask, multipurpose coverage pays off. Using fingers, makeup brushes or sponges, dab and blend the foundation stick where and when needed on red, brown, blue or violet discolorations.

5. Blush, don't bronze

Instinct says go sunny and beachy — but hold it right there. Don’t reach for a self-tanner or bronzing powder. That's OK for your best days. But to restore a glow, grab a creamy pink or peach blush like Revlon Insta-Blush ($8, Target) or e.l.f. Beautifully Bare Blush ($4 target.com) and give cheeks a yoga-class flush in seconds.

6. Lighten up on eye makeup, but don't ignore it

Now's not the time for smoky dark eyes — black liner and dark brown shadows can look sexy at night in dim light, but they'll drag you down during the day. To restore sparkle, choose a nude palette in light to medium shades of mauve, peach and shimmery taupe like Maybelline Total Temptation Eyeshadow + Highlight Palette ($9, target.com) or NYX Professional Makeup Eyeshadow Palette in Soft & Rosy ($8, target.com). The combo of muted brown liner and mascara and pale shimmer on your upper lids restores shape and keeps the emphasis there. Skip makeup beneath the eyes, where liner and mascara can emphasize bags and crepey skin.

7. Shake up your hair

Pulling hair back or wearing it up can exacerbate a fatigued look, especially if hair is pulled too sleek and tight. Always let a few pieces float or cut feathery bangs if ponytails are your thing. Keep your hair loose, tousled and free and play up texture, wave or color. Yes, it's a distraction but one that works and makes you look lively, animated. Consider getting highlights around the face — it adds a frame of light just where you need it.

8. Wear cheerful vibrant colors

A white shirt is a classic brightener and black makes us feel slim and chic, but juicy colors like orange, red, raspberry, yellow and bright blue signal an energetic attitude. Ditto to splashy prints, stripes — even in a scarf. When feeling blah, throw on some color. It’s an instant pick-me-up.

9. Wide awake in five?

Let's say you're already at work, a meeting, a party or a restaurant when a "frenemy" delivers the "you look tired" news. Grab an ice cube and head for the restroom. Rub the cube (or pat hands splashed with icy water) over your face right over face makeup. It revs up circulation like a cold shower. Brush your teeth or rinse your mouth with fresh water. Yawn to relax your jaw and de-tense facial muscles that exacerbate lines. Bend at the waist, run your hands through your hair and flip it back. Unbutton your blouse or shirt to a V to show more neck and upper chest, roll up your sleeves to show forearms, or take off your jacket or cardigan and go sleeveless — don't let it all be about your face. If possible, take a brief brisk walk. Movement has a caffeine-like effect that makes you look more alert. Breathe deeply from your diaphragm, five counts out and five counts in. Sit and stand up straight — no slouching — to appear more energetic. Add some statement glasses and bling. And smile: instant facelift.

5 Easy Remedies for When Your Face Is Looking Tired

Skin Care Routine

It’s inevitable. There are just some days - or weeks - when you can’t get enough hours of sleep in a night, or the stress of everyday life has caught up to you. Without a doubt, on one of these days, you’ll bump into a co-worker or friend and get the dreaded, “You look tired.” And that’s when you realize you look as exhausted as you feel.

There’s no way around having days like this every now and then. Getting enough rest isn’t always easy, and unfortunately, it can catch up to you when you want it least. But! We have some tips for helping you get through these tired days without having to hear about it from the lady who works down the hall.

1. Exfoliate the Tiredness Away

Taking one look in the mirror as soon as you wake up can be a shock if you haven’t had a restful night. You can see it all over your face - your skin looks dull, grayish and tired. Luckily, we have just the solution to reveal the glow under all that sleepiness.

You may know that exfoliation can help with a wide range of skin issues, like enlarged pores or fine lines. But the quickest, most noticeable difference you’ll see in your skin after exfoliating will be how all the dull skin was buffed away. Instantly, you’ll see brighter, more awake skin that was hiding just beneath the surface.

Other benefits of exfoliating regularly:

  • Unclogs pores and helps prevent blemishes
  • Smoothes the appearance of deep wrinkles
  • Evens skin tone
  • Speeds up skin cell turnover rate for younger-looking skin
  • Allows your skincare products to absorb better
  • Makeup applies more evenly

The very motion of exfoliating can also help relieve the look of tiredness. Massaging a facial scrub or washcloth around your face can get your blood flowing, bringing a natural glow to the surface of your skin. Not only will your skin wake up, but your face will feel like you just left a relaxing morning at the spa.

Our favorite facial scrub for waking up your face is the Urban Skin Rx® Purifying 2-in-1 Pumpkin Pore Detox Mask & Scrub. It contains powerful ingredients like clay to pull impurities from your skin and Jojoba beads to exfoliate away dull skin. This deliciously smelling mask and scrub will transport you right into fall, no matter the season, and leave you with gorgeous, glowing skin.

2. Goodbye, Puffiness

Nothing gives away how tired you are more than dark, puffy eyes. There are several causes for puffy eyes, obviously including unlucky genetics, but they can also be caused by a lack of sleep or water retention from a salty meal the night before. The hollow area under your eyes allows fluid to settle, causing that classic puffiness we all know and hate to see. A great eye cream can help work wonders with under-eye puffiness, too. The perfect follow-up to rolling under the eye area is our Vitaleyez Retinol + Vitamin C Complex. This cream contains Caffeine and Hyaluronic Acid to help wake up and moisturize tired eyes so that you look more rested and ready to take on the day.

3. Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate

This remedy for helping your face look more awake is an easy one: drink some water! Dehydrated skin is tired, dull-looking skin… and you can help fix this issue from the inside out. When you wake up to a face that doesn’t look like it wants to wake up with you, drink a glass of water to get things moving along.

Like we mentioned before, waking up to puffiness in your face can have a lot to do with having a salty dinner or snack before bed. This can cause fluid retention under your eyes and around your face, and the best way to flush it out is to rehydrate your body. Having a glass of water before bed can also help to prevent any water retention if you’ve overindulged in the evening.

Don’t forget; it’s recommended to get at least eight glasses of water a day. Better yet, determine how much you should be drinking by calculating ounces based on your body weight. A well-hydrated body will make you feel and look great, and it’s so easy to do.

Aside from hydrating your entire body, reach for a moisturizer that will help pull in and hold on to moisture after you cleanse your face. HydraBalance Brightening Moisture Infusion is another Urban Skin Rx® product containing moisture-holding Hyaluronic Acid, helping keep your skin from looking dull and thirsty. It also contains a brightening peptide complex to help your skin glow from within, instantly making you appear more awake.

4. Brighten Up

Brightening up is definitely what your face needs when you’re looking and feeling tired. All your dull skin needs is a little glow, and you’ll immediately feel better. Aside from using our HydraBalance Brightening Moisture Infusion™ moisturizer, apply a pretty highlighter or some concealer to help deflect any stubborn dullness.

If you’re going to use the makeup route to look more awake, a little will go a long way. Use just a dab of concealer only where you absolutely need it, and use a lightweight and moisturizing foundation, like a tinted moisturizer or BB cream. Layers of makeup finished off with a dusting of setting powder isn’t going to help the situation at all and will just make the tired-looking imperfections on your face stand out even more.

Another easy way to get a little glow to your face is good, ole’ sunshine. Of course, we don’t want to go overboard and want to stay safe by using quality sunscreen, but sometimes sunshine is just what our tired skin needs. Spending a few minutes outside can bring some warmth to your face, and your body will get a good dose of vitamin D.

Spending time outside will not only bring a sunshine glow to your face, but it will also awaken your senses and give you an overall feeling of wellbeing. Again, when you feel good, you’ll look good - and everyone will be able to see it on your face. Being outdoors will also help your body’s natural circadian rhythm, which is exactly what you need for our following remedy.

5. Get Some Rest

Finally, the best way to keep your face from looking tired is the obvious one - get more sleep. We know it isn’t always easy to get to bed at a time that allows us to get the recommended hours of sleep a night, but it’s a goal that we all could work on having.

Getting enough sleep every night allows your skin to recover from the day it had and helps retain moisture and protect against the day it will have tomorrow.

Tips for getting a good night’s sleep so you wake up looking refreshed:

  • Aim for a reasonable bedtime and try to keep it the same every night
  • Put your phone away, and don’t turn on that tv - blue light wires your brain keeping you awake
  • In the evening, stay hydrated with water or a caffeine-free cup of calming tea instead of caffeinated drinks
  • Use a silk pillowcase and sheets that are smoother and more gentle on your skin
  • Wind down with a relaxing nighttime beauty routine before bed A

ll these years, we’ve heard the term “beauty sleep,” and it really is something that we need to get as much of as possible!

No one wants to see the “You Look Tired” face when they walk into the bathroom in the morning. Some days, there’s just no getting around it - we don’t always wake up glowing. But with a few quick and easy tricks up your sleeve, you can be ready to wake up your face the next time you see a tired you looking back in the mirror.

Getting rid of the "tired face"

Cosmetologists distinguish several main types of aging of the skin of the face and neck, which differ in correction algorithms. The first type includes the so-called "tired face", manifested by the following changes:

  • decrease in skin turgor;
  • violation of the collagen framework;
  • decreased muscle tone;
  • pastosity, pallor of the face.

As a result, gravitational ptosis occurs. Subcutaneous fat is shifted down under the influence of gravitational forces.

You cannot solve the problem yourself. Diagnosis and consultation of a competent qualified cosmetologist is necessary, who will professionally determine the degree of skin aging and select the optimal set of procedures. Specialists of the Center for Laser Cosmetology "O.K." ready to help prolong youth and restore a healthy appearance to your skin.

Methods for the treatment of "tired face"

To combat the manifestations of "tired face", the doctors of the center use techniques that allow restoring the collagen framework of the face and providing a pronounced lifting effect.

1. 3D mesothreads: instant lifting without surgery

During the procedure, the beautician uses special ultra-thin needles and polydiaxane threads. Materials are completely biocompatible and hypoallergenic. Mesothreads allow you to strengthen the collagen frame, eliminate skin laxity, smooth out wrinkles. The effect is noticeable immediately after the procedure, lasts up to two years. When resorbed, mesothreads nourish and moisturize the skin, have a mesotherapeutic effect.

The procedure is very effective at the first signs of gravitational ptosis and for prevention.

2. Bio-reinforcement with Radiesse

In youth, the face has a V-shape. With age, the shape changes: the cheeks droop, “flews” appear, soft tissues lose their former volume, the chin becomes sluggish. All these changes affect the proportions of the face, expanding its shape downwards.

Bio-reinforcement of with Radiesse allows you to quickly and effectively restore the lost volume of tissues, restore the V-shaped face shape. With the help of microinjections of the filler, the cosmetologist eliminates sagging cheeks, “flews”, and corrects the shape of the cheekbones. The effect lasts up to 24 months.

3. RF-lifting

The essence of the technique lies in the ability of radio waves to warm up the deep layers of the skin, activating the synthesis of new collagen. During the procedure, the skin flap is reduced in size, causing thickening of the skin. Thanks to this, the flabbiness of the tissues disappears.

At the same time, electrodynamic, muscular activation is carried out, which tones the tissues. The oval of the face is aligned and tightened. Toned skin gains firmness and elasticity.

4. Botulinum therapy of parts of the face in the technique of lifting

With age, the corners of the eyes droop, giving the impression of a tired and sad look. With the help of Botox and Dysport injections, the beautician has the opportunity to relax some muscles and activate others, raising the eyebrows and making the look more expressive and open.

Preventive measures

Gravity ptosis (soft tissue sagging) becomes noticeable after 25-35 years of age. With the appearance of the first signs of skin aging, we recommend a series of preventive measures.

The most effective is deep structural facial massage . During its implementation, a professional massage therapist uses not only the surface layers of the dermis, but also tendons, bones, joints and muscles. Thanks to this, maximum relaxation of the muscle frame is achieved, congestion is removed, and metabolic processes are stimulated.

Get rid of the tired type of facial aging in Krasnoyarsk

The first among the types of aging of the skin of the face and neck identified by specialists is the so-called “tired face”.

This type of skin aging is characterized by the following age-related changes: - decrease in elasticity of soft tissues; - decreased muscle tone; - violation of the calogenous framework.

The result of these changes is the displacement of subcutaneous fat "down" under the influence of gravitational forces (gravitational ptosis).

It is impossible to solve such a complex problem on your own. A professional examination by a cosmetologist is required, which will not only determine the degree of aging, but also help you choose a set of necessary procedures. Specialists of the Center for Medical Cosmetology O.K. always ready to help restore your skin youth and health.

Ways to combat "tired face"

In the fight against the “tired face”, modern cosmetology uses a number of methods aimed at restoring the collagen framework and non-surgical face lifting.

- Thread lifting.
The essence of the thread lifting method is the use of special threads with micro-notches, which are applied to the thread at a certain angle. The threads hold the skin tissues, fixing them where necessary, modeling the oval of the face. Gradually, they acquire their own collagen and create a natural collagen framework that prevents further tissue sagging.

- >Bio-reinforced with Radiesse.
The young face has a V-shape. With age, the proportions of the face change, there is a decrease in the volume of soft tissues, the cheeks drop, the so-called "flews" appear. The chin becomes sluggish, and the face, changing shape, expands downwards.

Radiesse injections are used to restore the V-shape of the face and soft tissue volume. With its help, cosmetologists return anatomical true features to the face: they eliminate sagging cheeks, cheekbones, and correct the shape of the cheekbones. The effect of the procedure lasts up to 2 years.

- RF lifting.
The RF-lifting technique is based on the ability of radiofrequency waves to warm up the deep layers of the skin, stimulating the formation of new collagen. Warming up causes the skin flap to contract and the skin to thicken, due to which the flabbiness of the face disappears. Thanks to the simultaneous electrodynamic and muscular activation, the tone of the weakened tissues is restored, the face oval is leveled and tightened, the skin becomes denser and more elastic.

- Botulinum therapy of individual parts of the face in the lifting technique.
Under the influence of gravity, the corners of the eyebrows are lowered, because of which the look becomes tired and sad.
