When changing a tire, safety is the most important thing. The ground should be flat and stable when a tire is being change, the emergency brake should be on in case of sliding down the road. The right tools to use while changing the tire are very important, and if a mechanic is changing a tire for a job they usually wear something to get down on the ground and get dirty.

In order to change a tire the first thing a person needs to do is to check the areas to see if it is a safe place to do so. Some people take the safety very serious, the vehicle could roll down the hill if the emergency break isn’t on or it would be bad to jack the car up when the ground is slanted. After checking the area, get out all the tools that are needed to change the tire. The tools that are usually needed are the jack, a wrench, and a spare tire.

The jack is to use to lift the vehicle off of the ground so the tire can come off the vehicle. A wrench is to twist and loosen the lug nuts off of the tire and the new tire is to repair for the flat tire or the new one.

Now that the area is checked and the tools are out it’s time for changing the tire. To change the tire, the vehicle needs to be lifted up with the jack. Place the jack under the frame near the tire that is needed to be change. Make sure that the jack is in contact with the metal portion of the car’s frame. After the jack is in the right place, start raising the jack up to where the tire is off the ground and make sure the jack is stabilized.

After the tire is off of the ground, begin loosening up the lug nuts by using the wrench to twist. There are different sizes of wrench to fit different sizes of lug nuts. Find the correct size then loosen the lug nuts by turning it counterclockwise (left), don’t take the lug nuts all the way off, just break the resistance with the wrench first. The lug nuts take a lot of power to start loosen it up, after just loosen the lug nuts off it might be easier to use hands to twist it completely off.

When all the lug nuts are off, the tire should be easy to come off as well. If the tire is hard to take off by hands, kick or hit the tire a little to loosen it up or lift the tire up a little to take it off. Sometimes if the vehicle isn’t lifted high enough it would stop the tire from coming off. In that case, pump up the jack more and lift the tire off of the ground so it might help. After the old tire is removed, replace the spare tire. To replace the spare tire correctly, the rim of the spare tire needs to be aligned with the wheel bolts, then put on the lug nuts. Tighten the lug nuts by hand until they are all snug then tighten them all the way by using the wrench. After the lug nuts are being tightened, lower the jack down. Once the car is lowered, tighten the lug nuts more to make sure the lug nuts are as tight as possible. The final step would be putting all the tools away and the flat or changed tire away.

Changing a tire isn’t the hardest job but it can be tough for people who have never experienced it. It is a skill that needs to be learned if a roadside flat tire occurs and no one is around to help. A spare tire and tools are usually in the trunk when a tire is needed to be changed if it’s in the middle of nowhere. Safety is the most important part, and doing the steps correctly will make this process easier.

The Definition of a Tyre

What is a Tyre?

•Pneumatic tyre is a flexible, toroidal, compressed gas (normally air) container mechanically attached to the outer circumference of rim of a vehicle wheel. The name is derived from “Attire” – a protecting covering or coat. •The rubber exterior of a pneumatic tyre is merely a flesh for a skeleton of fabric; this skeleton and the manner in which it is constructed are of fundamental importance in establishing the tyre’s characteristics. •A tyre is an integral component of a vehicle and is the intermediary between the vehicle and the road.

Why do I need Tyre?

•Supporting the vehicle weight including payload (load carrying capacity) •Transferring Traction and Braking forces to the road surface (Traction, Torque and braking) •Absorbing Rod shocks (Cushioning and Enveloping)

•Changing and maintaining Direction of travel (Steering response and stability during cornering)
•Low Rolling Resistance
•Minimum Noise / Road Vibration
•High Speed safe operation Capability
•Aesthetics ; Comfort

TYRE DIMENSIONS

KNOW YOUR TYRE

You might be having having a hard time getting the right tire size. The car tire sellers needs to determine what best fits to your vehicle that’s why you need to understand the letters, numbers, slash letters and letter combination of your tires.

Here’s How:

1. Know what the first letter stands for your vehicle type to which the tire is to be installed. Example: P for passengers, T for Temporary Spare, LT for Light Truck, ST for Special Trailer. I’m sure that is not hard to decipher in your tire size chart.

2. Width Number. The width is indicated after the digits or it’s cross section measurement usually in millimeters. Example: If you have a tire that says P225, therefore it means that the tire is for a Passenger Vehicle and the tire cross section width is 225 millimeters.

3. You need to understand the aspect ratio concept. It normally follows with a slash after the width of the chart. Example: P225/60 – that simply means that tire’s aspect ratio is 60. It represents the percentage of width and height. Thus, the height of this car is 60% of it’s width.

4. Get yourself intimate with the construction of the tire. Normally, the letter that follows the aspect ratio indicates the car tire’s internal construction. A commonly used type of car is Radical which symbolizes in R.

5. Rim Size. It is the number that follows the tire’s construction. Example: P225/60 R15, here the rim size is 15 inches. Since you now deciphered your tire size lingo then you can now go ahead and change your worn-out tires. P225/60 R15 means: Passenger Vehicle Tire, a 225 millimeters cross section width, 60% aspect ratio, radical and a rim size of 15 inches.

If for instance your car size is not listed, the measure the tire as shown then afterwards compare those measurements as against the ones in the chart.

FREE How to Change a Tire Essay

Something that I think every driver needs to know, is how to change a tire. I will give you directions on how to change your tire if you ever need to use this information. A flat tire could happen to anyone at any time. You should be prepared just in case it would happen to you. Most vehicles will have an owner' manual, which will tell you where to look for the jack and the spare tire. You should make sure that your spare tire is properly inflated, and you have all the necessary tools before you drive off. .
First thing you should do if you are driving down the road and you have a flat tire is to find a good spot to stop your car. You will need to pick a flat area that is completely off the road away from traffic. It could ruin your rim to drive on a flat tire, but you need to be out of danger from other vehicles. Pick a good spot that has level ground. It is very important that your car's wheels do not roll. You will need to place a car that has an automatic transmission in park or a car that has straight transmission needs to be in reverse. Turn off the engine. Use parking brake. Turn on your hazard lights to let other cars know that you are there. .
You along with any passengers should get out of the car and stay out of the car away from the line of traffic. Lift your trunk and get your spare tire, jack and lug wrench out of the trunk. Remove the hubcaps. Using the lug wrench, begin to loosen the lug nuts from the tire. The lug nuts will probably be very tight. You will need to use your strength to turn the tool counterclockwise on the lug nuts. The lug nuts should only be loosened not off. .
Now, place the jack under the axle near the wheel to be changed. The jack will touch the car at a small plate on the frame. The plate is located just in front of the rear tires, and just behind the front tires. Put the jack handle on the jack. Do not raise car until you make sure the jack is upright in the right position and not tilted.

Self-changing tires on a car

Changing shoes is the hottest topic for motorists during the off-season. In spring and autumn, queues traditionally line up at tire fitting points. But not everyone wants to participate in this ritual: having collected a second set of tires and wheels, many car owners change the wheels themselves. Let's talk about how to do it right - especially since every driver has to change a wheel on the road sooner or later.

Handy jack

To remove a wheel from the car, you first need to get it off the ground - make sure you have a good jack for this. A regular factory jack is in any car, but still it is intended for emergency replacement of a flat tire, and not for regular tire fitting. If you change all the wheels yourself twice a year, it is better to buy a jack more convenient and reliable than a regular one.

The rolling jack is a great solution if you have a garage; you will immediately appreciate its convenience. It is rolling jacks that are used at tire shops, where the speed of work comes first. A few moves and the wheel is already in the air! After a little practice, with the help of a rolling jack, simultaneously hang out two wheels at once - but you must definitely use wheel chocks (stops).

Learn more about how to choose a car jack.

Robust tank

Drivers often ask the question: why is the car's standard wheel key so inconvenient? The answer is simple: the length of the wrench is chosen so as not to exceed the tightening torque of the wheel nuts (100-110 Nm for passenger cars). But loosening stuck nuts often requires more force! In addition, the driver is different for the driver: for example, it will be difficult for a girl to tighten the wheel nuts to the nominal torque with a regular wrench. And don't say you haven't seen girls changing wheels.

In order not to have to kick the wrench or jump on it (which threatens to break the wheel studs), buy a reinforced wheel wrench: elongated or telescopic. When tightening nuts with such a wrench, you do not need to be zealous - remember the maximum tightening torque. And it will be much easier to unscrew the nuts.

Tire Rotation

When changing tires, don't forget to rotate them to ensure even wear. Usually tires with a large tread remain on the drive axle, because there they wear out more intensively. If the car is all-wheel drive, proceed from the design features of 4WD: the original front-wheel drive car with a connected “rear” wears out the front tires more, and the original rear-wheel drive car wears the rear tires.

Tire rotation is more competently performed according to the instructions for the car - but for this you need to mark each of the wheels in advance (for example, with a marker on the inside of the disk). Examples of standard rotation patterns are shown below, and it is recommended to swap tires for even wear every 10,000 km.

On rear- and all-wheel drive vehicles, the front tires are moved to the rear axle diagonally (diagram A) or are changed crosswise (B). On machines with front-wheel drive, the opposite is true: the rear tires are moved diagonally forward (diagram C).

Tires with a directional tread pattern cannot be turned without overbeading. To rotate them without removing them from the disks, the front wheels are simply swapped with the rear wheels on each side of the car (Diagram D).

If the car is equipped with a full-size spare tire, not a spare tire, and you have bought a set of five new tires, be sure to include the spare tire in the rotation (diagrams E and F). This will allow you to use the kit longer and easily replace any of the main ones with a spare wheel in case of damage, because their wear will be the same. Thanks to this scheme, buying five tires is more profitable than four, due to the longer operation of the kit.

Stud and hub care

After removing the wheel, clean the wheel studs with a wire brush and brake cleaner. You also need to clean and grease the mating surface of the hub with graphite grease so that the rim does not stick to it. Graphite is chemically neutral, does not interact with nickel and chromium, therefore it does not oxidize and does not damage rims.

Whether it is necessary to lubricate the studs themselves is an open question: some automakers recommend it, while others directly prohibit it. If you use standard wheel nuts with a cone, which attract the disk well, and observe the tightening torque, then there will be no harm from a small amount of graphite grease on the studs - most importantly, do not use other types of lubricants (for example, lithium) in this assembly.

Even tightening

The wheel mounted on the hub is tightened crosswise (4 studs) or with an asterisk (5 and 6 studs), moving from each nut to the opposite one, and not to the next one - this way the even tightening is achieved.

The wheel nut tightening torque for most cars is 100-110 Nm, SUVs: 120-150 Nm. The exact parameters for tightening the nuts are indicated in the instructions for the car, and to withstand them, use a torque wrench. Of course, not all motorists have it. Without a “speaker”, be guided by the length of a regular wheelbarrow wrench and common sense: do not use the pipe as a lever and do not press on the wrench with your foot.

Checking pressure

Tire pressure may change after six months of storage - be sure to check it after installing all the wheels using a manual pressure gauge. Pressure is always measured with cold tires. If the pressure in the tires is different, equalize it with a compressor, otherwise the car will pull to the side when driving.

Learn more about tire pressure: how and why to measure it.

Proper storage of wheels

The removed set of wheels must be properly stored until the next season. This requires a well-ventilated, dry area, protected from the sun and precipitation - for example, an indoor heated parking lot. Private garages are not always suitable: if the roof leaks after every rain, then the humidity will destroy the paint on the rims in six months. Too dry air is the other extreme: rubber in such conditions ages intensively, cracks and cracks. Optimum humidity for wheel storage: 55-65% at 20-25°C. Such indicators are maintained all year round in the Tire Hotel Giperavto, a special warehouse for seasonal storage of wheels.

Tires and assembled wheels (tires on rims) are stored differently. Without disks, tires are stored vertically: they are placed in a row, periodically turning over to change the fulcrum. Tires on disks are placed in horizontal stacks of 2 wheels or suspended. Improper storage can lead to tire deformation and serious problems during further use.

The main thing when changing tires yourself is not to rush anywhere: expect the process to take 1.5-2 hours. If you want to change the shoes of the car faster, welcome to the Hyperauto tire fitting with an appointment - they are guaranteed to do everything right.

Traveling person: a road in a person's life (real, imaginary, book road).

Can travel change a person?

There are times when a person wants to change the situation and go to some new place for him. People travel because they are looking for vivid impressions, but sometimes their worldview changes along with it. Any path in one way or another affects the human consciousness: interesting ideas, dreams and plans appear. In most cases, a person understands that he must change his usual way of life. It is on the road that we think more and dive deeper into our inner world. In my opinion, travel and change are inseparable from each other. To prove this point of view, I will turn to works of fiction.

So, for example, at the beginning of A.S. Pushkin's "The Captain's Daughter" the main character is an undersized, infantile young man who never left home. He dreams of an idle life in St. Petersburg, he wants to indulge in all kinds of entertainment, but by the will of fate he ends up in the Belogorsk fortress. Petrusha, having left his home, meets Zurin, loses a large amount to him, behaves rather rudely with Savelich, tries with all his might to look like an adult and independent. But throughout the story, his value system undergoes major changes: love for Masha Mironova awakens in his heart the ability for compassion and readiness for self-sacrifice. The journey that Grinev's father sends helps the young man to become a strong spirit and a morally pure person.

The life of the protagonist of the poem M.Yu. Lermontov "Mtsyri". "Soul - a child, fate - a monk" at the age of 17 breaks free from the walls of the monastery. The three days he spent in the wild, in a mysterious and slightly frightening world, turned out to be more important than his whole life. It was here that he experienced strong feelings and received many vivid impressions. Mtsyri meets a Georgian woman who is carrying a jug over her head, and realizes that she falls in love with her at first sight, although she does not dare to speak. The young man fearlessly fights the leopard, risking his life. At some point, he realizes that he cannot be part of this world, which turns out to be alien and a little hostile. However, the hero dies without regrets: he is happy that he went even on such a short trip. Reading this work, you involuntarily think about how fleeting our existence is, therefore it is so important to appreciate every moment.

Thus, a journey can become a way for a person to find himself, help him to better understand his inner world and find peace of mind. Sometimes, in order to walk the path of spiritual quest with honor, it is necessary to leave the place where you are now. The world is wide and immense, so acquaintance with it opens up new horizons for a person.

2. Civilization and technology - salvation, challenge or tragedy? (achievements and risks of civilization, hopes and fears associated with it).

Is it possible to say that people are becoming addicted to new technologies?

There are many new technologies in the modern world that make our life easier. For example, it is already quite difficult to imagine our existence in the 21st century without computers and mobile phones, which can significantly save time. The rhythm of life is also becoming quite fast, which means that the consequences of scientific and technological progress can be considered favorable. However, quite often people develop a serious dependence on the latest technologies, and it is not always easy to get rid of it. Let us turn to works of fiction to prove this point of view.

It is impossible not to remember the world created by the famous science fiction writer R. Bradbury in the anti-utopia Fahrenheit 451. People have practically forgotten how to think independently. In order not to think about anything, they put “sleeve radios” in their ears, watch meaningless TV shows, spend most of their time in front of huge screens and try to be exactly the same. Those who try to show individuality in some way are dealt with by the Mechanical Dog, a robot that helps to search for criminals. In this society there is no place for spiritual communication and mutual support: the horizons of the inhabitants are limited, it seems that they know nothing but popular names and brands. This lack of education eventually leads to degradation. Indeed, sometimes the accelerated development of new technologies becomes dangerous both for the individual and for the whole of humanity.

The problem of dependence on the latest technologies also worries many contemporary Russian writers. In the work "Bible in SMS" Aya En writes about teenagers, as well as adults who cannot imagine their life without mobile phones. At the beginning of each chapter, we read excerpts from text messages between two young people on biblical topics. Of course, the characters use colloquial vocabulary and try to simplify the gospel stories as much as possible. It would seem that there can be nothing in common between the Holy Scriptures and short messages, but the girl Eve, who is threatened with disinheritance, has no other choice. In the 21st century, along with the development of technology, there is a significant simplification of human thinking. People often stop reading long and complex texts and look for a summary of them on the Internet. Dependence on new technologies makes a person a consumer who gets used to receiving information in finished form. In the book of Ai En there is a wonderful slogan - DSG, which means "think with your head." Unfortunately, technological innovations can deprive us of this ability.

In conclusion, I would like to say that dependence on new technologies does not allow a person to move forward and develop. That is why it is so important to take a closer look at the world that surrounds you, spend time with loved ones, communicate live as much as possible, read books, and not just the news feed on social networks.

3. Crime and punishment - an eternal theme (crime and punishment as a social and moral phenomenon, conscience and shame, responsibility, repentance).

Which is stronger: law or conscience?

What could be worse for a man of remorse? It is probably impossible to come up with a worse punishment, because it is no coincidence that conscience is called the “law of laws”. It is she who becomes the main judge for us, not allowing us to cross the forbidden line. Sometimes even the punishment prescribed by law cannot correct the offender if he is deprived of the ability to experience a sense of shame. On the contrary, the voice of conscience prompts a person to repentance and inner change. To prove this point of view, I will turn to works of fiction.

Conscience can torment a person, even if he is only partly to blame for the tragedy. So, for example, the main character of the sentimental story N.M. Karamzin "Poor Lisa" Erast blames himself for the death of the peasant woman Lisa. He really fell in love with this girl, but he could not marry her, because it would mean defying secular society. In addition, the young man wanted to improve his financial situation and for this he married an unloved woman. Erast did not even suspect how serious the consequences could be, he did not think about the feelings of Lisa, who could not survive the betrayal of her lover. Until the end of his days, the hero considers himself a criminal, through whose fault the poor girl suffered. These remorse

Erast's conscience prevents him from being happy. Of course, from the point of view of the law, the hero himself did not commit any crime, so he cannot be punished. However, the feeling of guilt haunts the young man because he violated moral standards.

Undoubtedly, the conscience is always stronger than the law, because its voice cannot be resisted. So, the hero of the novel M.A. Bulgakov's "Master and Margarita" Pontius Pilate, fearing to lose his authority, unfairly accuses a person and dooms him to death. That is why Yeshua Ha-Nozri notes that cowardice is the most important human vice. The procurator was afraid that his intercession for the philosopher would arouse the suspicion of other people: Yeshua's arguments about power were too bold. However, in the depths of his soul, Pontius Pilate understood that before him was a unique person - the only one who was able to heal his spiritual wounds. The heaviest punishment for the procurator is the pangs of conscience. He realizes that he betrayed not only the philosopher Ha-Nozri, but also himself, and therefore finally lost hope for a moral resurrection.

Thus, conscience is indeed the most important and inviolable law, the observance of which helps us to remain humane under any circumstances. Many thinkers refer to conscience as an inner judge or a voice that cannot be silenced. This is exactly what does not allow a person to relieve himself of responsibility and act recklessly. It is the legislator that urges us to do good deeds.

4. A book (music, performance, film) – about me (a statement about a text that seems personally important to an eleventh grader).

How can music help a person get through a difficult time?

In difficult times, works of art can provide invaluable help to a person. So, for example, music can heal spiritual wounds, become the best consolation and cure for sadness and anxiety. For many people, listening to their favorite songs helps not to give up and find new strength to move forward. What is the beautiful and mysterious power of music and why is its influence on a person so great? Let us turn to works of fiction to answer these questions.

In the epic novel by L.N. Tolstoy's "War and Peace" music plays an important role in the fate of the main characters. Nikolai Rostov, who had lost a rather large amount to Comrade Dolokhov, felt depressed and overwhelmed. He had to talk very rudely and cheekily with his father, and deep down the young man was angry with himself. In this difficult moment for the hero, his sister Natasha Rostova played the piano and sang, not thinking about any trifles and just enjoying the moment. Fascinated by music, Nikolai Rostov involuntarily thinks about how base his problems are in comparison with art. Life, in which there is music, is beautiful, and everything else is much inferior to spiritual values. Is it worth depriving yourself of this wonderful opportunity to live and breathe because of some temporary difficulties and failures? It seems to Nikolai that it is at this moment that he is truly happy: the music drowns out his mental pain and gives him consolation.

Music can radically change a person's life. The title character of the novel by I.A. Goncharov "Oblomov" initially did not even intend to get up from the sofa

and take off his dressing gown, because he did not see the point in an eventful existence. However, the meeting with Olga Ilyinskaya has a significant impact on the hero, who has a desire to change for the better. It is noteworthy that the feeling of falling in love settles in Oblomov's soul after listening to his favorite piece of music "Casta diva", performed by a new acquaintance. From the sounds of this melody and Olga's voice, the “dawn of the awakened one” shines on the face of the hero, he told the girl that he deeply felt the love conveyed through music. At this moment, laziness and apathy recede, fade into the background, Oblomov's life is transformed, his soul strives for happiness.

Indeed, life becomes pale and empty without music. M. Luther, for example, called this type of art "the best consolation for a sad person." Of course, in a difficult time for us, music, evoking certain emotions, helps to listen to ourselves and gives us a special energy that does not allow us to lose heart under any circumstances.

5. Who can live well in Russia? - a question of a citizen (social vices and public justice, finding ways to help those who are in difficulty, ways to improve society and the state).

How do social vices affect the life of an individual citizen?

Can social vices influence the life and destiny of an individual? Quite often, a person rebels against the foundations and rules imposed by society, because he does not want to be a puppet in the wrong hands. In many literary texts, a conflict unfolds between bright individuals and society. Unfortunately, such heroes usually fail in this clash, but their attempt to change something is of great value to humanity as a whole. This means that there are people who cannot put up with social vices and are ready to fight them in order to make the world a better place. Let us turn to literary works to prove this point of view.

So, in the comedy A.S. Griboyedov "Woe from Wit", the main character refuses to live by the rules of the Famus society. He cannot accept the hypocrisy, servility and dependence on public opinion that reigns around him. Chatsky notes: “I would be glad to serve, it’s sickening to serve. ” Indeed, he is not going to become the same as the representatives of the "past century", their subservience disgusts the hero. He feels like a stranger among people who devalue education and spiritual values. That is why the hero has no place in Famusov's Moscow, he is called crazy. Chatsky believes that the vices of this society must be eradicated, but in the play he does not have a single like-minded person, not counting off-stage characters. The hero has to abandon his previous plans and hopes for family happiness in order to preserve his individuality.

In the drama of A.N. Ostrovsky's "Thunderstorm", the main character Katerina is also trying to protest against the patriarchal order. There is no place for science, education and progress in the city of Kalinov, families continue to live according to Domostroy, and the younger generation must strictly comply with all the requirements of the elders. The most authoritative people of the city - Dikoy and Kabanikha - are petty tyrants and tyrants living in a closed world of their limited conservative beliefs.
