We are down to the last few achievements, and apart from all round talent you should have no problem knocking these out in a short period of time.
Start with finding the bonus vehicles on all levels, well all 2 of them anyway. There are plenty of video guides around if you prefer this, but both are fairly easy to find without.
Hide ads
Devil's Playground - From the start, turn slightly right and you will see a gap in the rocks/cliff, through that way stay to the right and shortly there will be another gap through the rocks/cliff on your right, which is only a narrow path so can be missed. Then follow this around to the left and pretty much impossible to miss in front of you is the secret ATV vehicle. You can swap to it if you like, but just pulling up next to it is enough to acquire it.
Bryn Carreg Quarry - From the start ride straight towards the big crane, pass by the left hand side of the crane then turn right slightly and head towards the edge of the area. You will probably ride over some rocks being the most direct route. Towards the edge you will see about 3 trees close together and the Bike is sat next to one of these trees, as before pull up next to it to attain it, and the following achievement will pop:
Next it's time to knock out some medals. There are only 5 categories per Free Ride area and you only need to complete one of these, so take your pick. I would go for Devil's Playground as there are plenty of big jumps and open areas to get everything you need done.
The 5 Categories you need to record a silver medal in, and one of them also will need to be Gold are as follows:
1. Hang Time - 3.5seconds required for Silver
2. Jump Distance - 200ft required for silver
3. Best Combo - 600 required for silver
4. Freestyle Jam - 1,500 required for silver
5. Play Time - Find vehicle for Gold
Your first big jump is pretty much going to guarantee you a medal of some description for the challenger achievement. Also if you have a friend who has been playing the game there is a good chance you should beat their record and obtain Bragging Rights also, if not try a few other jumps until you beat theirs. If you are struggling for friends with the game, send me a message and a Friend Request and you can beat mine fairly easily, I did enough for the achievements but little else so no silly targets for you to aspire to.
Now with the first medal or two out of the way time to wrap up the one Gold required and remaining Silver. These really are straightforward - you get a Gold for finding the hidden vehicle! You can see how you are doing per category by pressing Start followed by X. Once the Gold and Silver are safely bagged up you will get the following:
On the Home straight now - whilst still on Devil's Playground go down to the water and once through the archway on the shore you will see some islands to your left. Just island hop by taking a bit of a run up and don't dip the front end of your bike. You do not need to pop a wheelie or anything like that, this one is about speed and amount of water, and is an incredibly short distance to attain which takes no real effort:
Now for a wheelie over 150ft, you can do this on Devil's Playground near the water, the soft sand in the dunes does not seem to give good traction so will make it more difficult. My personal choice was to load up Bryn Carrag Quarry as the ground is hard and is far simpler to pull off. Just get some speed up and pull back on the right stick, once the front wheel is up, do not hold the right stick quite so far back else you will fall off. A few practice runs should net this one:
Finally we arrive at all round talent for completing all level 1 race goals, which can be attained in Free Ride. Each category is noted below with the level 1 goal only, there are levels 2 & 3 also but these have no bearing on achievements apart from some minor XP boosts when attained.

Finish them all to unlock:
Now if you have been struggling with the challenges for the level 1 race goals you may already have the high miles achievement, but if not the best place to rack up the missing miles is on Devil's Playground. Just keep rising along the length of the waters edge and back again. You will average around about 60mph, so at 1 mile per minute give or take it could take anything from 1 minute to an hour. There is no menu to check your progress and the achievement does not pop during Freeride, so you need to quit out and it totals up at that time. I would suggest riding for no more than 10 minutes without reloading to check if you are there, and unlock:

I'll call it career, but effectively this is list of National & Short track races you need to win on any difficulty, some available at the start and ultimately all tracks available once you attain level 25.
Before you start into your career, customize your vehicle or rider any way you like for a simple achievement. Select customize vehicle or rider from the main menu and change at least one thing. Now back out to the main menu and you’ll unlock:
Hide ads
Easy 10G! Now that you’re back to the menu, go ahead and start your career. You’ll notice at the track selection screen that you don’t have many tracks to begin with, and many to unlock. Select any track (I suggest a short track so you can get used to the game), change the number of laps to the minimum, and the difficulty to Rookie. Go ahead and start the race; try to win, but if you can’t, at least get third for the podium. Also, try and not to go off the track. At the result screen, you’ll unlock:
Finish a race
Now depending on whether or not you went off the track, you’ll get:
You’ll notice your rider XP go up some and your vehicle’s. You’ll unlock an achievement for the rider XP once you reach levels 2, 6, 10, 18, 25, and 50. There’s also an achievement for getting one of every vehicle to three stars, but I’ll go over that later.
Now that you’ve finished your first race and have a feel for the game, either replay the same track or pick a different one. Always remember to change the number of laps to the minimum and the difficulty to whatever you like. Go ahead and try to win the race, going as fast as you can. After the race, you’ll most likely unlock:
Once again, start up a race; however, this time, stay with the other riders and never go into first until the last lap. While racing with the others, bump into them as much as you can and pass them, at least five times for an achievement. The achievement is:
This achievement isn’t hard at all to get. You’ll know you did an overtake when your rider turns around and yells something along with a hand gesture. Remember to not go into first until the last lap. Once you’re on the last lap, go into first and win. You’ll now unlock:
I don’t remember exactly when you’ll reach rider XP level 2, but as soon as you do, you’ll get:
Continue on getting the holeshots and winning races for how ever long you need so you will unlock these and get them out of the way:
You can keep on competing in races if you like and earn rider XP, but the remaining racing achievements are miscellaneous or time comsuming. So, I suggest to change the pace up a bit and have some fun in free ride, knocking those achievements out. However, before you go into free ride, exit to the main menu and visit the MotoClub Depot for an easy 10G (you will need to be connected to Live for this). It's an easy 10G that you can earn at almost any time, although I believe you need to be level 3 or above to access it.
While you're still here at the menu, go to the Equip Rider Skill screen. As long as you're level 3 or higher, you'll notice you have a skill called "Save It" equipped. Simply unequip it and then exit to the main menu so that the game saves. Go back into the rider skills and equip the skill back, return to the menu so the game saves once more and you'll unlock this:
Remember to come to the rider skills as you unlock more so you can equip the ones that you prefer the most; some really help in races although none are essential to you completing the game.
There is very little to do now in the Single Player Campaign other than racing the tracks you have already raced. You should see that there are many additional races but you will need to attain level 25 before you can race on these. This can be accomplished by playing in any mode as all XP adds up across all modes, obviously if you have not won on all available tracks then you should go back and do this now with the National & Short Track. Each multiplayer ranking varies from 4,000xp for the early levels to around 7,000xp per level after that.
The next set of achievements you should get are either level based which need no further explanation or achievements you really need no special effort to get as they will come naturally.
Wreck avoidance is completed successfully by pushing the right stick in the direction indicated on the screen. You will sees these following collisions with the AI racers or when landing a jump badly. You can equip the save it skill to make this easier as the length of time available to follow the orange arrow is increased.
After each race you will see the XP on the right increase for your vehicle, as soon as you reach 3 Star for a vehicle type, change your vehicle choice and move to the next category. There are 2 bikes/ATV's for each category and you only need to 3 star one each of these. You will 3 star all vehicles long before you get to level 50, so do not worry about swapping immediately, just keep in mind.
Level 10 will soon follow
The next set of achievements to expect or work towards are:
Fall off your vehicle 50 times. This self explanatory and popped quite early for me, so you can make your mind up on my skill level!
Wreck 50 times
Following on from your previous saving 35 wrecks, you now need 100 wrecks. You will attain this sooner by riding in the pack or playing on harder difficulty settings as the AI are more agressive. If you specifically wish to work on it, I would go to short track races as the number of riders on a small tight track leads to a constant stream of opportunities.
At the same time the Bully achievement should pop for overtaking by bumping into the AI at the same time, as opposed to the Clean Overtake. Unfortunately there is not an achievement for playing fair!
Keep at which ever mode you are playing and eventually you will attain levels 18 & 25 for the next two achievements and finally the chance to race some new tracks. As a side note, the increasing of difficulty does not make a huge difference to XP earned, so you are better racing on a difficulty you know you will win at rather than entering the lottery of the higher difficulty where a few bad races will counteract the XP gain from the higher difficulty.
So we have now gained level 25 and opened up the new tracks. Load up the first new National Track and win the race and gain your next achievement for beating James Stewart:
Before your next race go to the change your rider option and select James Stewart from the list. Go and win any race for your next one:
You now need to race and win on all tracks both Short Track and National for the following 3 achievements. Although many tracks look similar and are the same venue, the achievements will not pop until you have completed each individual track.
We are now onto mopping up a few miscellaneous achievements on our journey to level 50. I would suggest the first National Track for the next two achievements as the finish line/new lap jump gives you plenty of air and time to perform the tricks.
As you approach the jump hold down the RB button, then as you take off whilst keeping the RB button pressed, pull down on the right stick. You can control your rotation speed somewhat by holding or releasing the Right trigger which will speed up or slow down the rotation accordingly. Providing you land the trick you will pop:
Land a backflip
Having completed this one, we now need to wait for the end of the race, I guess the one good point here is whether you land it our not you still win the race. The downside is doing a 360 can be a pain. On approach to the finish line jump, hold RB again, but this time whilst holding RB as you take off, pull both left and right sticks diagonally down to the right (or left) and hold and release to land. There is a fair bit of leeway on your landing here and you can get away with some pretty shocking landings with the crash avoidance. Providing you are upright the achievement will unlock.
The final achievement to work on whilst racing National Tracks is completing 100 stunts, although it should be noted you can ignore this and do it in Free Ride if you prefer. The easiest Stunt is a Whip and merely involves pushing your right stick left or right in the air and then correcting for landing. You do not need the trick modifier button for this (RB) so can be completed on most jumps.
Pull off 100 stunts
I would now recommend loading up the MX Battlefield track to finish off your vehicle and rider level XP. Yes there are shorter tracks but this one is long enough to pretty much ensure you win every race and at about 1.30 mins a race for approx 1,000 Vehicle XP and even more rider XP, is fairly quick and fun. Just keep your turns tight and the AI will be no match.
There is one more so called Story/Race achievement but based on the individual targets you need to attain it is better covered under Free Ride for the tricks, which could take you the longest time out of all the level 1 targets. You need to win a certain amount of times at each difficulty setting or above. Again I used the Battlefield Short Track race as apart from on the All-Time difficulty setting the AI is pretty slow. You need the following wins:
Rookie 15
Amateur 20
Pro 10
All Time 5
You should have the first 2 by now anyway, so load up on All Time and complete those 5, then 5 more wins on Pro difficulty and it's onto Multiplayer or Free Ride.
