SPECIFICATION
Safety plugs must comply with the requirements of this standard and OST 1 10471-72 - OST 1 10481-72.
The surfaces of the plugs must be clean and free of cracks, bubbles, burrs, dents and other mechanical damage.
Threads must be clean (smooth) and free from burrs, broken threads and dents.
The depth of the tie-downs shall not exceed one quarter of the wall thickness.
Imprints from cracks, scratches, minor nicks on the surfaces of molds, drill marks on the shoulder from drilling locking holes should not go beyond the tolerances for the dimensions of the part.
In technically justified cases, plugs can be made without lock holes. The index *0' must be entered in the designation of the indicated plugs. For example, for a safety plug of size 10 without locking holes according to OST 1 10471-72, the designation will be: Yu-O-OST 1 10471-72.
ACCEPTANCE RULES
Safety plugs must be presented for acceptance in batches of the same designation.
The following rules shall apply for quality control checks on plugs:
for size control, 5% of the plugs from the batch are selected, but not more than 100 pieces;
Appearance status is checked for each stub.
The appearance of the plugs is checked with the naked eye.
If, during the control, unsatisfactory results are obtained for at least one of the above indicators, this indicator is re-checked on a double number of plugs taken from the same lot. If the results are unsatisfactory upon re-inspection, the entire batch is rejected.

Plugs must be packed in wooden boxes according to GOST 2991-85, lined inside with moisture-proof material. The packaging must be tight, preventing the plugs from moving inside the box during transportation.
End caps of only one designation must be packed in each box.
