Tire training courses

Commercial Tire Service - Tire Industry Association

Tire Safety Starts with Trained Technicians!

TIA offers a variety of training for new hires, as well as experienced tire technicians. Our CTS programs cover all aspects of commercial truck tire service and can be delivered online or in person, with hands-on instruction.

Keep your techs safe, customers happy and better your business with TIA’s Commercial Tire Service Training.

INTRO TO CTS 100 LEVEL

Available through the TIA Online University, Intro to CTS is designed for non-technicians in the commercial tire industry who need an orientation to the service procedures for all types of commercial tire and wheel assemblies. Half of the program is focused on medium commercial truck tires, while the other half covers off-road tires, including earthmover, farm and industrial tires.

Commercial tire service dealers provide a wide range of products and services. Some customers may need service in one or more areas, so sales personnel need to understand the different types of nomenclature and service descriptions as well as the service requirements without the step-by-step procedural details needed by technicians.

Intro to CTS provides the employees outside the service area with the fundamental knowledge that they need to make better recommendations and realistic estimates when working with all types of commercial tire customers.

Intro to CTS consists of the following Modules:

  1. Truck Tires
  2. Single/Multi-Piece Rims
  3. Truck Tire Service
  4. Off-Road Tires
  5. Off-Road Wheels & Rims
  6. Off-Road Service
