LEGAL TERMS
The Moscow City Court banned the website Moskva.fm, which provided access to live broadcasts and archives of 50 Moscow FM stations, from broadcasting the air of Europe Plus at the suit of this radio station. The site has already closed this possibility, but if it is violated again, it can be blocked. Other radio holdings also do not rule out going to court, and Krutoy Media managed to remove Love Radio, Radio Dacha and Taxi FM from Moskva.fm out of court.

The Moscow City Court, following the application of Europa Plus CJSC, ordered the Moskva.fm website to stop broadcasting the broadcast of this radio station, follows from the decision on the court's website. A representative of the European Media Group (EMG; Retro FM, Road Radio, Radio 7, etc.), which owns Europe Plus, confirmed that the company filed an application with the Moscow City Court in order to protect its radio stations on the Internet.
An extended version of the anti-piracy law, according to which the procedures for pre-trial settlement, interim measures and site blocking apply not only to video content, but also to music, books and software, has been in force since May 1, 2015. According to this law, Moskva.fm has three days to eliminate copyright infringement. If the site does not respond, the site or its individual pages are blocked by telecom operators for 15 days. If the violation is not eliminated, the same copyright holder has the right to file a second lawsuit and achieve a lifetime blocking of the site. Yesterday Moskva.fm stopped broadcasting Europa Plus, but continued to broadcast other EMG stations.
Moskva.fm has long been the most popular Russian Internet site for listening to radio online. At the beginning of 2014, its audience was more than 2 million visitors per month. Radio holdings unsuccessfully tried to close the site, which provided access not only to the stations' live broadcasts, but also to their archive since 2007, including about 245,000 songs by almost 50,000 performers. But it was impossible to sue the owners of Moskva.fm, since there was no legal possibility to reliably identify them, the head of one of the radio companies explained to Kommersant. Georgy Tushinsky, the founder of the infamous resource AllofMP3.com and the Digital October center, was unofficially considered the owner of the site.
In 2014, AllinOne Network was interested in buying Moskva.fm. According to Kommersant's interlocutors in the core market, buyers were willing to pay about $12 million. The deal was discussed at the level of the Russian Academy of Radio, which considered the site to be pirated and more than once demanded the legalization of the site, but the negotiations ended in nothing. Nevertheless, Moskva.fm met the rights holders halfway and closed access to the archives of the stations, leaving only live broadcasts; after that, the site's audience halved to 1 million visitors in May 2014. In December 2015, the site's audience was 602,000 people
A number of radio stations are no longer broadcast on the site. For example, there is no Love Radio, Radio Dacha and Taxi FM, which are part of Krutoy Media, Krutoy Media CEO Yulia Golubeva confirmed to Kommersant. According to her, the company sent complaints to the site, and since May 2015, the broadcast has been stopped. The president of the VKPM (Avtoradio, Humor FM, etc.) Yuri Kostin told Kommersant yesterday that the VKPM would also probably go to court to block its broadcasts on Moskva.fm if the site was not closed down.
Representatives of Moskva.fm did not respond to Kommersant's request yesterday.
