**PLEASE NOTE THAT ENTRY FEES TO THE PARK AND TICKETS TO THE BENEFIT ARE SEPARATE**

Brittany Worley and her family are hosting a Benefit Concert on Friday, October 21st followed by a Benefit Ride on Saturday, October 22nd for her brother Jonathan.

Jonathan is 38 year old father, fiance, stepfather, son, nephew, and the BEST BROTHER! He unfortunately suffered from a tragic accident on July 16, 2022. He was riding his four wheeler when his hands and arms went numb causing him to lose control. Jonathan hit an embankment, flipped, and the four wheeler landed on him. After emergency surgery that night (cervical fusion from C2-C7) they learned Jonathan suffered a "complete" spinal cord injury and is now paralyzed from his neck down.

Jonathan has overcome so many medical obstacles. Brittany is doing a couple of fundraisers to help raise the money for Jonathan's rehab so that he can have the best resources available for his overall recovery.

For any questions you can contact Brittany at 252-299-1504, via email at [email protected] or through facebook. ... See MoreSee Less

ATV ball joints are a very important part of the suspension mechanism, both the life of the pilot and the lives of other participants in the race or walk very often depend on its serviceability. Therefore, the health of the ball bearings must be given increased attention, especially under the condition of an aggressive driving style on tracks with a high content of abrasive substances. The ball mechanism is quite simple: Read more

It is often heard from owners of ATVs with a chain drive that after a certain period of operation the chain began to fly off. This is most often due to chain stretching and the absence of a chain tensioner roller (there is no roller on some models of ATVs). It is also not uncommon to complain that the factory tensioner roller quickly wore out and ceased to perform its function properly. Quite Read more

The rear axle is one of the most problematic nodes on small displacement ATVs. Of course, the quality of the metal from which the assembly itself as a whole and its components are made is primarily affected. Yes, and the operation of an ATV most often comes with overloads in the area of \u200b\u200bthe rear trunk due to the presence of a second passenger on it or the presence of a hiking trunk. Jumping also affects Read more

I think everyone will be interested in how to replace conventional disc brake pads, which wear out very quickly when driving in especially difficult conditions (sand, water, snow with sand, mud) (100 km, or even less). The answer is immediately brewing that you need to put expensive reinforced pads !!!. They set it, and, as a rule, the result was not particularly inspiring, but they pay 2-3 Read more

If you are reading this article, it means that on one of the last trips your meeting with a log or a stone took place, and the body of the ATV received plastic damage. Do not despair. It is not difficult to repair the plastic body of an ATV. At first, we try to get the broken or cracked plastic parts of the body into place, which sometimes requires a second pair of hands. One holds, the second fixes Read more

Silent block is a unit consisting of two metal bushings and an elastic insert (most often rubber) between them. Due to this element, oscillations and rattles are damped in the joints of parts. The silent block accounts for the lion's share of the shock loads received by the suspension. He has to restrain significant deformations simultaneously in various planes and directions. It must provide not only angular, but also radial and axial compliance. Read more

      ATV repair and possible breakdowns

      Published Updated ATVs0

ATV repair is a rather complicated but interesting job, so many drivers decide to do the whole procedure on their own. If the breakdown is serious, it is better to entrust the maintenance to professionals so as not to aggravate the problem. You need to start with a detailed study of the manufacturer's instructions.

In order to repair or service your ATV, you will need to properly prepare your work area. The workshop is best equipped in a heated room with good ventilation. In summer, you can arrange it outdoors under a canopy. It is necessary to ensure enough free space and prepare everything necessary for work:

      • Required spare parts (depending on breakdown).
      • Consumables (seals, fasteners, oil, etc.).
      • Tool kit.

Next, you can proceed to the inspection, which will identify the breakdown.

      ATV repair and disassembly

When wondering how to repair an ATV, you will need to consider the disassembly procedure and the most common breakdowns of four-wheeled motorcycles. It is advisable to record or photograph each of your actions, otherwise it will be difficult to assemble the ATV. It is possible to install the parts in the wrong order, causing the system to malfunction.

All parts removed in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions must be inspected for defects. It is necessary to establish the cause of the breakdown, replace the failed elements of mechanisms and assemblies.

      Most often, fails:

      • Rear axle.
      • CVT belt.
      • Engine.
      • Housing plastic.

Reassemble after repair in reverse order, replacing seals, oil and other consumables.

      Rear axle

Breakdowns often occur in the area of the rear axle. Increased loads act on this part of the structure, especially if two people often ride on the device. When transporting goods, a breakdown of the rear axle is also not ruled out.

If the driver heard a rumble or tapping while driving, this indicates the appearance of play on the wheelset. When driving, jamming may even occur. The most common faults in the rear axle area are:

      • Bearing failure.
      • Axle deformation under load. If, after the next jump, an extraneous sound appears, this indicates a deformation that has occurred.
      • Worn oil seals.
      • Broken hub splines.

First you need to remove the chain and unscrew the caliper. Next, the cotter pins are dismantled and the hubs are unscrewed. All bolts and nuts are unscrewed, the sprocket is released. It is necessary to knock out the axle very carefully without damaging it. Next, you can replace any part of the assembly.

The user needs to carefully inspect the seals, calipers, hubs, other elements of mechanisms and assemblies. Worn parts and accessories must be replaced. Movable elements are lubricated, assembled in reverse order.

No special tools required for repairs. It is only necessary to purchase the appropriate parts that require replacement.

      CVT belt

If there is a smell of burnt rubber, a drop in power and driving dynamics, you should pay attention to the variator belt. If it slips, the transmission will need to be replaced. The duration of this part depends on the driving style.

First, remove the cover from the transmission, after removing all fasteners and opening the latches. Having dismantled the cover, you can get to the variator belt. To remove it, you need to loosen the bolt with a screwdriver. This will expand the pulleys and then remove the belt.

The surface of this part must be inspected for defects. If there are scuffs in only one place, then there is a skew in the system. Then the place of occurrence of defects is compared with the teeth of the variator, which will allow to remove the misalignment.

A new belt is installed after the calibration of the mechanism. It is pulled to the allotted place and tightened the screw. The belt tension should be the same as the previous part. Oil is added to the system, the seals are changed, and then everything is assembled in the reverse order.

      Engine

Quite often it happens that after a long period of inactivity, the engine refuses to start. This situation sometimes occurs after the arrival. The problem may be related to various breakdowns in the motor area, but this does not mean that it will need to be changed. Perhaps the fuel tank simply ran out of fuel or the battery was dead. After correcting such omissions, you need to check the operation of the system.

If there is no gasoline, this is not always the result of driver forgetfulness. A similar situation may be associated with a leak in the fuel system. The battery can quickly run out if you forget to turn off the headlights or other electrical appliance.

If there is gasoline, but it is not supplied to the engine, you need to look for faults in the pump. If the engine does not start due to a malfunction in the piston system, it will be quite difficult to fix it. In this case, a knock appears in the engine and compression decreases.

      Plastic repair

The plastic body parts wear out over time. From impacts on tree branches or other obstacles, cracks appear on the body. To eliminate such malfunctions, you will need to heat the plastic with a soldering iron. To perform the procedure correctly, you need to remove the part. The place that has been deformed is heated on both sides.

If a notch has appeared in the material, a fine-mesh metal mesh must be purchased. It is soldered into the plastic structure, creating a reliable connection. So it will not crack, and the junction of the two parts will become almost invisible.

Next, you should purchase "liquid plastic". This polymer is made on the basis of artificial resins. It will allow filling the fault space with material, thereby avoiding the occurrence of a recess. The same technology is used to replace heavily damaged areas. Plastic in this case is taken from any donor.

Once the joints have been finished and the plastic has been aligned at the break points with a metal mesh, it will be necessary to go over the surface with sandpaper. Next, the surface of the body is primed and painted in the appropriate color.
